1, Dead mother board

Debug card will not working in laptop first check all ceramic capacitor for all area. Then check clock RTC check shorting in I/O I c and bios and clock generator most IO/IC could be short if not on sound IC and lan IC can be short. Ram power supply , IDE power supply, IDE IC then south bridge short

2, NO DISPLAY

First check heating for cpu processor > if ok. Then check Ram clean dry solder on power > if ok then check clock (RTC). Turn r (We can give clock direct 5v, batt after some time the south bridge we get weak ) If debug card show blank I Rdy on debug card the up grade your bios.

3, ON AFTER SOME TIME OFF

First remove 12v> if fan is run VRM section problem > if ok then check ram power supply if ok then check clock generator IC power could be shorting and bios shorting How you know bios corrupt

All vol will leave but mother board not boot this type bios not working or bios corrupt Bios update or bios Eprom

4, Ram ok also beep is come

Check Ram power Supply we can bread baker for dry soldering the board after cleaning the board with elma . check shorting for the north bridge capacitor

5, computer restart after some time

If we are running more heavy programme then time in restart. Then change all the bulged capacitor if ok -> update bios (mostly 10 out of 7 mother board due to bios problem) If remains south bridge, some time change I/O, I C (but its not logically correct)

6, hanging after some time

First check stand working smps by power +5v if ok , Check cpu fan and heatsink if ok Check heat on clock generator I C and replace, then not ok change surrounding resister Check all the L M (power transistor) transistor power

7, same time display some time no display

Weakness is CPU dust in socket (Cpu fan make direct), fan not placed properly. If not ok Check Ram for dry solder slot upped side if not ok Check generator power check RTC Check all jumper setting at cpu Check dry solder in full motherboard When letters are flickering change with big value capacitor near CPU

8, hard disk drive no detecting

Check resister and IDE , in some ASUS having a IC between south bridge IC to IDE

9, Blue dumping error

When we start xp , check all the electrolytic capacitor for bulging When installing, put ram section big value capacitor (change capacitor high value) if not ok Replace capacitor and check if not ok check the cpu slot for resetting clean it if not ok Due to hard disk problem Antivirus , make all dry soldering and change big value of ram capacitor

10, problem is installing windows xp os

There are so many types problem 1, when coping its shows error check Ram or Ram capacitor give any dry solder 2, when hardware is verifying it has stopped in software lan, then remove particular hardware remove and install OS then fix hardware 3, when installing its shows blue screen so the Ram problem remove that Ram put another Ram Install XP OS then the old Ram fix Blue screen are coming 1, XP Start 2,When XP installing 3, Antivirus

11, Keyboard light continuously flickering

First remove all ceramic capacitor near keyboard connector then also light flickering then check 5V for shorting

12, south bridge heating very high

Check mosfet or (L M)(power from) transistor for the proper regulator . Next step remove south bridge and reball it and place it

13, USB not detecting First check in the Bios setting, then check 5V connection is USB. If USB is unrecognized the check data pin resistor the slight heat to south bridge

14, No power (on) on/off panel Trace the voltage line on/off panel trace capacitor check shorting for I/O IC

15, PCI Slot is inserted then hang on pc or no display First check PCI power supply B1 = -12V A2 = +12V A5 = +5V A15 = +5V B16 = 1.03 Check all this voltage is PCI slot if ok then check shorting of capacitor or bulged capacitor near PCI slot
