Tilting Rotary Furnaces

Der The standard for high output and complete latitude in the selection of the respective slag metallurgy In the low salt process, dross can for example be smelted with so called dry slag, and contaminated or thinwalled scrap can be productively recycled using fluid slag. A fully automated recycling solution and therefore ideal for reproducible batches also for contaminated source materials.

Specifications:
Models 2TR5, 3TR9 and 4TR12 Hydraulic tiltable RTF in a solid base frame

Horizontal furnacechamber tiltable from -8 to +25 Mobile charging system with rotating hopper, therefore quiet and high charging speed independent of scraps physical characteristics For the processing of all aluminium scrap, even if contaminated, as well as dross Combustion in a modern energy conserving counter fl ow principle or direct current process

Operating mode:
Automatic extremely fast charging Smouldering and burning of organic materials If required injection of oxygen to achieve complete combustion of hydrocarbons During smelting minimal oxygen concentration in furnace chamber Minimal oxygen concentration reduces losses caused by oxidation Metal discharge either by bottom tapping or through the charging opening Discharge of dross either through the charging opening or dross notch in the furnace shell

Advantages:
Large furnace volume for afterburning of hydrocarbons in the furnace chamber Thus also highly contaminated batches processable Additional energy generation through after burning of the hydrocarbons directly in the furnace Consistently high output with sub-standard scrap High productivity as a result of extremely short charging times made possible by charging device developed by KMF Controlling the furnace atmosphere A controlled furnace atmosphere enables high yield even with limited use of salt Conversion possible at any time from low salt (e.g. dross and scrap with iron inserts) to salt rich operation (e.g. thin wall and coated scrap) to achieve best possible yield Smelting without the use of salt is possible under specific conditions Process safeguards using Program Logic Controls (PLC) Permanent process monitoring Display of all parameters (weight, pressure, temperature, CO concentration, energy consumption) Visual representation of operating data

Variable controllable rotation of the converter during the entire process Emission friendly after burning of hydrocarbons in the furnace chamber Limited energy consumption and toxic emissions as a result of counter current operation of the combustion gases A permanent, controllable over pressure in the furnace chamber prevents unwanted entry of air Energy conservation through state of the art burner technology Use of proven and highly durable refractories High plant and operating reliability through innovative engineering Easy handling because of automated workflows Please contact us (http://kmf.at/en/contact/) for more information!
