Introduction
In any business, the meaning of Quality is the non-inferiority or superiority of something. As quality is perceptual it can be defined in the state of an attitude. An organization can deliver a quality product or service if an attitude at all levels of management is affirmative towards quality. By quality, it means the absence of defects, conformance to the requirement and not the goodness of the product. However, goodness comes from attitude also. Delivering a quality products and services increases reputation of an organization and nation. Looking at these requirements of the region Department of Business and Industrial Management, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat have initiated a humble effort in this direction to organize Management Development Programme to provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver quality goods and services. In this programme, we will discuss various facets of quality, quality management and its measurement using software.

Quality Management

Dr. Dhaval Maheta has around eleven years of Post Graduate teaching experience over and above industrial experience with Multinational Finance Companies such as ICICI Bank and HDFC Ltd. He has delivered guest lectures in various MBA institutes. He has published research papers in various journals and books. He has participated in various International and National Conferences. He is actively conducting Faculty development Programmes and Workshops in the area of Research Methodology and SPSS.

He has 29 years of academic experience and 4 years of Industry experience. He is fellow of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE). He is certified Six Sigma Green Belt. He is founder Chairman of Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE), Surat Chapter and also a member of IIIE National Council. He has published 9 papers in International Journals, 18 papers in National Journals, 20 papers in International Conference proceedings and 21 papers in National Conference proceedings. He is reviewer of International and National journals. He has organized 7 International conferences/ Seminars/Short term training Programmes. He has guided 12 PG Dissertations and 2 M.Tech (Research) Dissertations, 30 UG projects on the topics of Industrial Engineering. He delivered more than 25 members of guest lectures at various Engineering colleges.
