Tucker, McKay, Corbett, Bonk, Kallestad, Connelly, Lingofelt, Sundberg, Hedwall, Audette, Oquist, Summative late policy discussion --same as formative? +could be too harsh? +could limiting the time help to get work in? (give me what you have now, I can give feedback, then conversation can beginretake policy can take effect) +Do we do a 10% reduction for summative? +Time limit importantgive me something TODAYand I can give you feedback. +10% off when late, could retake for full? Could it motivate kids who need to retake? +Students work better with deadlines. Due when due, but can retake to fix. +Due date vs Deadline? (like Minnetonka?) +At what point have they not met standards, and will fail? --Three days? Without reduction of 10%. --Subject wide policy? --Hard policydue when its due? (regardless of readiness) allowed for retake. --Self Advocacy? Due date when its dueunless prior arrangements have been m ade by student with teacher. **Summative assessments will not be accepted after the due date, unless the student seeks out, and receives, prior approval from the teacher, at least one day in advance.

Staff meeting on June 4thPresent proposed changes to staff. Three people to present/facilitate for staff meeting. Summarly of proposed changes. Retake Discussion: --Change retakes to within 5 days instead of 10 days, from discussion before --Summative only? Formative? Separate policies? Same? --Focus on summative? --Summative assessments? (how we make things fair for summative work, fair for kids/staff/etc?) -if only a few, taking a zero on a summative assessment will be detrimental to a grade. --In order to retake a summative assessment, the original assessment must have been completed. --Three days? Five days? Three days to make an arrangement with teacher? --Showing evidence of new learning required. --Highest assessment score? Most recent assessment score? --Teachers may offer the opportunity to drop the lowest summative assessment? --Students will have the opportunity to retake summative assessments, once evidence of new learning has been shown. In order to retake an assessment, the student will arrange a retake plan, within three days of the assessment being returned. If a retake is offered, the original grade is replaced with the most recent score. Cheating policy --Formative? Summative? --papers, tests, labs? --requiring proof? --At what age do they learn this? --Stick your hand on a hot potyou get burnedand dont do it again. --Discuss with staff and figure out plan? What are some options? Discuss later??
