Mother 3 is seriously one of the best games e)er made -in my opinion" anyhoo0" so of course & had to ma$e these.

Duster and #umatora ha)e the most lo)ely wonderful cur)y and spi$ed hair. #umatora.s in particular wins my 1Most Difficult1 and 1Most 2un thing crocheted E3E41 awards. 5heesy

Basic Doll 6attern

This is a lo)ely pattern which can ma$e any sort of human amigurumi with shoes. 8ou should end up with about a 9: inch tall doll" depending on your gauge. &.)e included tips on how to customi/e your doll" mostly what & did to ma$e the Mother 3 ones in particular.

Materials

;orsted weight yarn 2" ' or < crochet hoo$

'auge 7ot important. & used a si/e < hoo$" but & crochet super=tight" so &>d suggest something smaller.

7otes for legs 8ou can ma$e all sorts of shoes with this pattern! !ucas -the little blonde haired boy with snea$ers0 is a good eBample of this. <is

shoes use yellow for the sole -the first two round0 and is carried up to the toe on round threeG the decrease o)er three and the single crochet before and after it are done in yellow. 4ound ? is where the shoes end" so there is a round of slip stitch in yellow" and then round D is done with white to ma$e soc$s. -& also ga)e the soc$s a folded= down loo$ by slip stitching around once more with white in the front loops of round D.0 2or pants that come down further o)er the shoes li$e Duster -the man with the blue shirt and red pants0" & switched colors on round ?" a round before the shoe ends. #umatora -the woman with the pin$ hair0 is the opposite" and & did not switch colors until round H to gi)e her boots. Duster is tall" and has 99 rounds on his legs -and his left leg is a little gimpy!0. !ucas has 9:" which is a good middle height. #umatora has F" because the woman body is one round bigger than the male body. Boney -the dog0 uses this same pattern for his legs" too! 4ound 3 is done through B@T< loops" not B!@" and his legs ha)e A rounds total. &M6@4T(7T 7@TE Do not use in)isible decreases here" they loo$ bad. Iust normal ones are fine.

7otes on arms This doll is tiny" so holes will show! ;hen & say ma$e a magic ring" that means ma$e a magic ring. @ther methods of starting a round always gi)e me holes. (rms can be made longer or shorter depending on what you want" and cuffs for slee)es -long or short0 can be accomplished with a round of sl st of your new color in 2!@ and then sc around in B!@. My fa)orite tric$ for nice color changes is this slip st around with your new color in 2!@" and then sc around in the bac$ loops of the slip stitches you Just made" 7@T the bac$ loops of the pre)ious round.

They loo$ bad! -(nywhere else is fair game" though.0 (musing note if you ma$e rounds 9=? and F=9: of the female body a different color than the s$in" it loo$s li$e underwear and a bra. KLLK & ga)e #umatora underwear because she has a dress" but & hadn>t cut the white yarn yet when & got to round FM and & figured & might go all the way with the underwear. #umatora DC -the 7intendo DC )ersion with purple hair and blac$ clothes0 uses this idea to ma$e a halter

top. -,he>s alsoM uhM got a thong" because it seemed to fit the trashy outfit. <ah!0 5olor changes from pants to shirt should be at round D. 8ou can adJust how high your waistband is by ma$ing this color change sooner or later. Duster has an eBtra half of a round of sc to gi)e him an une)en waistband -li$e his sprite does when standingG& assume he>s fa)oring his bad leg%0 (7D a round of sl st in brown -with one yellow sl st in the center0 to ma$e a belt and buc$le. This can be done in the front loops of round D or can be done by surface chaining" if you $now what that is. -The white /ig=/ag on his shirt is also done by surface chaining.0 #umatora>s dress is Just li$e her body. & started with a ring ofM 3:" maybe% (nd decreased randomly for eight rows" and then repeated rounds F=92 of the female body. <er hood isM uhM - magic ring" sc A in ring" 9D" 2C" sc around" 32" sc around twice0" and it>s attached to the bac$ of the dress and there>s a round of light blue sc around nec$ of dress and hood. & also added a round of sl st in light blue at the bottom hem of the dress.

7otes for head This pattern will gi)e you a nice" round head. To ma$e it e)en rounder" add another row of sc in the middle. ,ome heads" howe)er" are not round. Duster has a more elongated triangle shape. To do this" start with the same number of increases" sc around twice instead of fi)e times" and then start a gradual decrease of C.s instead of A. 8ou should end up with 9D sts at the end of round 9?" so that round 9C is the same -sc dec around0. <air can be done any which way. & li$e to crochet a separate hair piece that sews onto the head" but fringe hair is another option. There are some neat tutorials for this around on the internet. Ma$e sure you ha)e all the pieces of the head done -ears" eyes" hair" etc0 before you sew the head onto the body. &t Just ma$es life easier.

Does that loo$ familiar% &t>s the pattern for the head! ,o it means ma$e a ring" sc A in that ring" increase to get a total of 9D" increase to get a total of 2CM. Etc! 8ou can assume e)erything is single crochet unless & say otherwise. 8ou can also assume that if the notes don>t specify what to do with the rest of the round" you should Just sc to the end.
