Product Name Target Group Brief History
Emergen-C Young Adults to Adults (ages 18 and above) Emergen-C is manufactured by Alacer Corp. Alacer Corp. was founded in 1972 with focus on vitamin C, complemented by minerals and B vitamins. They created products for distribution in the evolving health and natural product retail market. Emergen-C was introduced in 1978 as the champagne of nutritional drinks. The product redesign plan is to make the product look more modern and organic. The current plan for the redesign is to change the colors. A cardboard, brown color will give it a more organic look, which will be matched with clean white and a pop of color, which will give it a more modern look. The box shape the current Emergen-C is packaged in will remain the same, but the design on the box will change. Each box holds ten individual powder packets and those packets will match the new redesigned outer box. The plan for increasing sales is to take photos of the new product redesign when complete, and get the product advertisement into health magazines, and even gossip magazines on a one page spread. We will keep the product in stores in the same place it has always been so it wont be hard to find. We want the people to know that it is not discontinued, but it is new and improved.

LOGOS

The color logo will be the most widely used logo of the two. The B&W logo will only be used if absolutely necessary. It will always be placed over the cardboard color. The logo size will vary depending on the product and packaging. It will be sized anywhere from 16-85PT font. The logo will always be the dominant element on the packaging. It will be placed at the top of all other elements, and it will be the largest element. The bottom logo with the large C will be used on the product packaging.
