Action Needed. Build a website.

Evidence any opportunities to teach ICT. Blog.

Action Taken. I am adding more pages as a result of my increasing website content. I am also using HTML codes to embed videos and documents onto my website. I will add more content to my website during FPP. I have visited the Blackboard site to find out more information about blogging but will continue to add more blog entries to update readers of my ICT progress when appropriate. I have researched ways that I could use spreadsheets in primary schools. I have looked at Infant Video Toolkit from 2Simple and RM Starting Graph that are great programmes available to children. I will be hoping to improve this area during my FPP when hopefully I will have the chance to use ICT in cross curricular ways. I will be hoping to improve this area during my FPP when hopefully I will have the opportunity to teach ICT. I have read the podcasting section on Blackboard. I have accessed the Hertfordshire Grid for Learnings section on podcasting to improve my understanding in a school context. I have also downloaded Audacity on my laptop to practise. I have added more websites to my list of useful educational sites but will continue to add more during FPP. In addition to what I learnt during GPP, I have also discovered Mystery Skype.

Reflective Comments. I am confident in setting up a website and organising it accordingly. I am also confident in using codes to embed. I have been assigned to a Year 1 class and am very excited to be able to teach lower KS1 ICT. I feel as though I have gained more ideas for incorporating blogging in lessons but feel as though I need to continue to improve my blogging skills, which is something I will work on during FPP. I felt confident about using spreadsheets myself before I began this course but I have now gained some ideas for how these could be used in lessons.
