PLANNED GIVING CAMPAIGN – A BIG Thank You to all those who have completed pledge cards, and made
individual donations as a result of the fundraising appeal. For those who have requested a direct debit mandate form,
we will be in contact with you shortly. Envelopes are also available at the back of both Churches for those who have
requested them. If you were not in Church during the course of the campaign, then a newsletter and pledge cards are
still available at the back of both Churches. Please complete the pledge card and place it in the basket provided. We
know that you will do your best to carry out your pledge. We have certainly been greatly encouraged by the response
to the planned giving campaign and the need there is to increase fundraising in general. It’s clear that there is a real
willingness to move forward. Thank you for your continued support. Fr Michael, Sr Mary, Sr Margaret and the
members of the Joint Parishes Fundraising Committee
ST TERESA’S PARISH CENTRE – Based at St Teresa’s, Shenley Road, is available for hire. If you wish to make use
of this facility, enquire about rates or have any other enquiries, please contact Mrs Sue Partington, Joint Parishes
Secretary on 0208 953 1294 between 10 am - 2 pm (not Wednesday)
STATUES at St Teresa’s: Some of the statues at St Teresa’s Church are in the process of refurbishment. If you wish
to contribute to the cost of this, please speak to Fr. Michael. Thank you to all those who have generously given
donations so far
PARISH CENSUS FORM: Thank you to all those who have completed and returned their pink forms. This information
will help us serve you more effectively. Please take one from the back of both churches if you have not already done
so and return it completed in the box provided. Thank you for your cooperation.
PARISH INFORMATION - on how to get your child baptised, how to get married, what to do when going into hospital
and how to arrange for a Mass to be offered for a particular intention can be found on the notice boards at the back of
both Churches.
WHEN YOU COME TO CHURCH – please turn up in good time before Mass starts; turn OFF your mobile phone
and please do not bring hard or noisy toys for children to play with. Please do not chew gum or bring food or drink to
Church.
BAPTISMS – We extend a warm welcome to Gabriella Valentine-Tuffin, Ellie May Till, Danny Till, Rebecca
Thompson, Akyra Adolphus, Maksymilian Chomicz Mikolajczak and Dino Luca Steel who have all been recently
baptised into God’s family and our parish communities.
MARRIAGE – We congratulate and wish every blessing and happiness to Kelechi Ihiejieto and Elizabeth Umesi;
Paul Unegbu and Olubunmi Akinwunmi and Jan Berta and Beata Swiatkowska who have recently married at St
Teresa’s Church.
NOVEMBER PRAYERS FOR THE DECEASED – Envelopes and remembrance prayer sheets are now available at
the back of both Churches for the November List of the dead. Please write out a list of those deceased family,
relatives and friends you wish to be prayed for and return to Fr Michael or Sr Margaret or Sr Mary. Alternatively, drop
them into St Teresa’s Presbytery or the Parish House at SS John Fisher and Thomas More, Rossington Avenue.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION – Congratulations to all who will take part in our Celebration of Enrolment this weekend.
We have 47 children on our programme this year!
AFTERNOON OF RECOLLECTION FOR MINISTERS OF THE WORD (READERS) – with Fr John Hemer on

Saturday 24 October from 2.30 pm in St Teresa’s Parish Centre. If you have not completed the slip attached to the
itinerary please do so and return to Fr Michael ASAP.
CONFIRMATION - An invitation is extended to young people in St. Teresa's and SS. John Fisher and Thomas More
who are in Year 9 or above to prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in June 2010. Please take a red form
from the back of one of our Churches and return it to Sr. Margaret no later than this Sunday the 18th October.
Forms can be dropped into the Presbytery at St. Teresa's or the Parish House at Rossington Avenue. Further
information will be sent to those who have registered very shortly
