EL PRESENTE PERFECTO
Formacin:
El presente perfecto se forma con la estructura del verbo auxiliar HAVE/HAS+
PASADO PARTICIPIO del verbo principal. Este PAST PARTICIPLE
corresponde a la tercera columna en la lista de verbos irregulares y a la
terminacin ed en el caso de los verbos regulares.
Ejemplos:
I have done my homework this afternoon. He hecho mis deberes esta tarde
He hasnt called to his friend Luca. No ha llamado a su amiga Luca
Have you been in Italy?. Has estado en Italia?

Usos del Presente Perfecto
. Para indicar una accin que sucedi en el pasado, sin que sepamos cuando
fue el momento especfico en el que ocurri.
Ejemplos:
We have been in Romania. Hemos estado en Rumana
I havent seen that movie. No he visto esa pelcula
. Para indicar una accin que comenz en el pasado y que de algn modo
contina en el presente.
Ejemplos:
Antonio has lived here for six months. Antonio ha vivido aqu durante 6 meses.
They havent visited us since 1999. No nos han visitado desde 1999.
. Para indicar que una accin sucede varias veces o se repite durante un
tiempo que empez en el pasado y continua hasta el presente.
Ejemplo:
I have gone to that Museum three times. He ido a ese museo 3 veces.

EL PRESENTE PERFECTO CONTINUO
Formacin:
El presente perfecto continuo se forma con el verbo auxiliar
HAVE/HAS+BEEN+VERBO PRINCIPAL TERMINADO EN ING.
Ejemplos:
She has been waiting for you for an hour. Te ha estado esperando durante una
hora/Lleva esperndote durante una hora.
John havent been studying Chinese. John no ha estado estudiando japons.
Have you been working in the project? Has estado trabajndo en el proyecto?
Usos del Presente Perfecto Continuo
. Para indicar una accin que empez en el pasado y contina en el presente
aunque en este caso resaltando la duracin temporal.
Ejemplo:
I have been studying for the test all day. He estado estudiando para el examen
todo el da
She has been Redding that book this term. Ha estado leyendo ese libro este
trimestre.

ADVERBIOS Y COMPLEMENTOS UTLIZADOS EN AMBOS TIEMPOS
VERBALES
JUST: Cuando utlizamos este complemento con presente perfecto le da un
sentido de acabar de hacer algo a la oracin
Ejemplo:
Mario has just arrived from the supermarket. Mario acaba de llegar del
supermercado
FOR: tiene valor de durante. Se utiliza en oraciones para expresar un tiempo
en el que sabemos cuando comienza la accin y tambin cuando termina (que
puede ser hasta ahora)
Ejemplo:
We have lived in London for ten years. Hemos vivido en Londres durante diez
aos.
SINCE: tiene valor de desde. Se utiliza tambin para oraciones en las que
sabemos donde comienza la accin pero no sabemos cuando termina.

Ejemplo:
Claudia hasnt come to Australia since 2003. Claudia no ha venido a Australia
desde 2003.
YET: tiene valor de an/todava cuando lo utilizamos en oraciones negativas.
Se puede utilizar tambin en oraciones interrogativas aunque en este caso
tiene valor de ya.
Ejemplos:
I havent finished my essay on literature yet. Todava no he terminado ni trabajo
de literatura.
Have you made the dinner for your brother yet?. Has hecho ya la cena a tu
hermano?
ALREADY: tiene valor de ya. Solo puede utilizarse en oraciones afirmativas y
se coloca siempre entre el verbo auxiliar y el participio del verbo principal.
They have already sold their house. Ya han vendido su casa.
