Synopsis

This course focuses on the approach and strategy students should acquire and model to support the achievement of numeracy in these basic areas in mathematics. It is a crucial way in making sure that students are well- trained to guide and help pupils become properly numerate by the time they complete the primary education. The key elements in numeracy : use of real life experiences, concrete materials, questioning and discussion techniques are infused throughout the course in problem solving, calculation, measurement, spatial sense and, data analysis and interpretation.
