Q1.

(a) (b)

How do you differentiate between open loop control and closed loop control? Draw the component block diagram of each of the following control systems. Human eye control system The student teacher learning process Speed control system of a dc motor

Identify the following components in each block diagram. 1. Process 5. Controlled output 2. Actuator 3. Sensor (c) 6. 7. Actuator output Sensor output

4. Reference input, Identify a two-input feedback control system that you encounter in your everyday environment. Draw a block diagram for each system and identify the components mentioned in problem (b).

Q2 (a) Write the dynamic equations which describe the system performance for the system given in Figure (1) and obtain the transfer function X 2 (s) / F(s). Consider both masses slide on a frictionless surface and k =1N/m.
