Evidence of Chemical Reactions

Purpose Consisted of performing simple chemical reactions for their final products and identify the type of chemical reaction Hypothesis When the reagents react among themselves different products are produced and the reaction evidences? Introduction In the lab showed five different chemical reactions to take place, each with different materials and substances. The purpose of this lab was as already mentioned in the hypothesis and show whether the purpose reagents react with each other and will produce different products as evidence of undesirable color change in the reaction or the heat and smoke rise. In this practice were different terms as chemical a physical changes , chemical reaction and evidences of chemical reaction. Chemical changes occur when a substance combines with another to form a new substance, called synthesis or, alternatively, decomposes into two or more different substances. These processes are called chemical reactions and, in general, are not reversible except by further chemical reactions. Some reactions produce heat and are called exothermic reactions and others may require heat to enable the reaction to occur, which are called endothermic reactions. Physical changes are changes affecting the form of a chemical substance, but do not change the chemical composition of that substance. Physical changes are used to separate mixtures into their component compounds, but can not usually be used to separate compounds into chemical elements or simpler compounds. A chemical reaction is a process that leads to the transformation of one set of chemical substances to another. The evidence of a chemical reaction is that which results from the reaction of the reactants can be physical or chemical changes such as heat, color change, different products.

Materials Bunsen Burner Beakers Test tubes Test Tube Clamps Spatula Dropper Substances HCl 6M AgNO3 1% Pb(NO3)2 5% KI 5% BaCl 2% Na2SO4 5% Zn(solid) Cu(wire)

Methods 2.- Add 10 drops of hydrochloric acid to the test tube. Using a spatula to take a small amount of zinc and placed in the test tube. 3.-Using tweezers to hold the end of the strip of magnesium, magnesium ignite a burner. when the magnesium strip lights magnesium remove the burner. 4.- Add 10 drops of silver nitrate test tube. Take a small piece of copper wire and add it to the test tube. 5.- Add 10 drops of barium chloride to the test tube, then add 10 drops of sodium sulfate in the same test tube. 6.- Add 10 drops of lead nitrate to the test tube, now adding 10 drops of potassium iodide in the same test tube. Analysis My hypothesis was correct because it was shown that the 5 different reactions by reacting the reactants themselves produce different products and different evidence of reaction Conclusions The practice in the laboratory showed that my hypothesis was correct at the evidence and produce different products for each reaction. This practice also helped us understand different terms as it is a chemical reaction and the different types of reaction. Final Reflection Chemical reactions are important in our daily life because thanks to them have been consolidated medicines and other things like food. habeces ourselves inadvertently perform chemical reactions as to make lemon water or cooking and even defecate time or consume food and why it is important to know and conocewr which is a chemical reaction that also involves knowing how to balance it and others.
