Grade Level Activities: Kindergarten

Come build a Marshmallow Tower with Kindergarten! Practice your counting, sorting and shape identification skills! Save the Billy Goats from the Troll by building a strong bridge for the billy goats to cross! Come build and test a sail for your sailboat! Be prepared for strong winds headed your way!

United Skates of America: United Skates of America will demonstrate some of their STEM activities with our students! This organization provides educational field trips focused on STEM topics. For more information, please visit their website at http://www.unitedskates.com/ Grade Level Activities: As you visit each grade level activity, you can participate in an adapted version of their classroom project. Each activity follows the Engineering Design Process! Holly Springs Robotics Team: The Robotics Team from Holly Springs High School, Hawktimus Prime, will showcase their robot and expose students to the benefits of participating in a robotics team. NC Museum of Natural Sciences Junior Curators: JCs from the Natural Science Museum will showcase artifacts from the museum and engage students in topics of interest. They will provide information about the Junior Curator program to our students.

Test your knowledge of phases of matter with the Ice Cube challenge! Use given materials to race your family members in melting your ice cube! Build a roller coaster car! Come build and test your roller coaster car using your knowledge of angles and geometry. Work with a partner in this teambuilding challenge to untangle yourself from a shoestring!
