Flutter analysis of AGARD wing we are going to analyze the flutter behavior of the AGARD wing 445.6.

Here we have undertaken the coupling method for predicting the flutter behavior of the AGARD wing 445.6. The two main parameters we are going to concern are flutter frequency and flutter velocity. The material select for the wing is aluminium alloy. We are going analysis Modal Analysis for resolving 6 mode shapes predicting natural frequencies, Structural Analysis of model calculating the deflection. COUPLED CFD-CSD METHODS: Coupled CFD-CSD method requires the solution of aeroelastic equations at each time step. In order to calculate the structural deformation of the structure under aerodynamic loading, model equations are used

Where, is the structural damping coefficient qi is the flutter frequency i modal frequency so we require two parameters modal frequency i, structural damping coefficient .

Modal frequency: The wing is modeled structurally by the different natural vibrational modes. Those are identified as the first bending, first torsion, second bending, and second torsion modes, respectively, by a finite element analysis. The natural frequencies of these modes are calculated by program controlled option of the ANSYS Mechanical workbench. Each mode of vibration has different mode shape and with different modal frequency and deflection.

Fig. shows mode shapes of the material.

Structural damping coefficient: The structural analysis is done with the help of CSD results. In the structural analysis the wing is constrained in one end and pressure is applied on the wing. The pressure force is the lift value which is obtained from the CFD results of the wing. By applying the pressure magnitude in different angles, we are able to predict the deformation of the wing at different angles. The structural damping coefficient value is equal to the slope value taken by the lift and deformation values.
