Silent Way

The silent way it is based on the premise that the teacher should be silent as much as possible in the classroom and the learner should be encouraged to produced as much language as possible. In this method, learning is facilited by accompanying physical objects. The rods and the color-coded charts provide physical foci for student learning and also create memorable images to facilitated involving the material by problem solving to be learned. The leaners grappling with the probl em of forming an appropriate and meaningful utterance in a new language, leads the learner to realization of the language. The main objective in this method is to give beginning level students oral and aural facility in basic elements of the target language and the correct pronunciation. The advantage of this method is faster cooperative learning between individuals and the other hand, for some teachers, the desadvantage is the rigidity od the system may be meaningless. I think this method is boring because the students repeted the same thing all the time.

Desuggestopedia

Desuggestopedia is an educational method developed by Bulgarian scientist Georgi Lozanov and based on a modern understanding of how the human brain works an how we learn most effectively. The goals of the teachers using the teaching method is to help students eliminate and overcome the barriers to learning and increase their communicative ability. Others goals of teachers is gives the students the impression that learning is easy and enjoyable and this enhances students feeling of security and allows them to be more open. In the classroom the light is comfortable; everything is bright and colorful with posters. Errors are corrected gently, with the teacher using a soft voice. The key elements of suggestopedia are a rich sensory learning environment (pictures, music) and positive expectation of a varied range of methods dramatized texts, music, active participation in song and games. In this method there are many stages. The four main stages are presentation, first concert, second concert and practice. Presentation is a preparatory stage in which students are helped to relax and move into a positive frame of mind, with the feeling that the learning is going to be easy and fun. In the first concern involves the active presentation of the material to be learnt and in the second concern the students are now invited to replay and listen to some Baroque music, with the text being read very quietly in the background. The music is specially selected to bring the mental state for the effortless acquisition of the material. Finally, practice. Ins this stage the use of a range of games, puzzles, etc., to review and consolidate the learning. In my point of view, this method is the best, because is more dynamic and the students can learn easily. Is not boring like the silent way method.

Community Language Learning

The community language learning method takes its principles from the more general Counseling-Learning approach. It was developed by Charles A. Curran. Curran believed that a way to deal with the fears of students is for teacher to become language counselors. In this method the teacher is a facilitator, researcher, mediator, learner and counselor, furthermore is a goog method to practice speaking and listening. In the class native language are permitted among students translation will be provided by the teacher. In this method there are six main stages: Tape recording students conversation, this first stage is a motivation for learners and being able to recall the meaning in first conversation. The next stage is reflection on experience, the students reflect on what they have experienced. Transcription is the opportunity to translate his or her utterances. Reflective listening is when the students need quiet reflection time in order to learn. The next stage is the human computer that enable students develop an inner wisdom about where they need to work and finally, a small group tasks where the students can begin to feel a sense of community and learn from each other, this last stage encourage cooperation, not competition among learners. The main goal is the teachers want their students to learn how to use the target language communicatively. They want their students to learn from one another. This method is a good way to focus on pronunciation, it can consolidate and extend text book work, and furthermore it can produce personalized and memorable speaking. One disadvantage is some learners find it difficult to speak on tape.
