Dates March 21-23 Park Ave, Winter Park Activity Winter Park Art Festival Named America's Best Art Fair for 2013!Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, Winter Park, FL happens March 21-23, 2014. Talk to the artists, examine their work, take a contact card or two. Take your picture with the artist. Then write the artist an appreciation email telling him or her which of their art pieces you enjoyed the most and why. Participate in the writing workshop or dive in to the DIVERGENT game play. Participate in either event: sign in, take pictures of yourself at the event. Read the book and then come talk about it with Mrs. Spillane and student poets from Poetry Club. Dr. Scanlon has books for check out in E102 or the media center. Blog. Blog on your own space or sign up to blog for a day in April at 31students.wordpress.com (our blog that show cases student writing). Writing and artwork on the blog must be original. Blog entries should be between 300-500 words; Blog posts that spark conversations in comments earn an additional 10 points. Read a classic and deliver a book talk in class.. See101 Great Books titles from College Board . Read and take notes on one (use TPCASTT for notes). Sign up for your book talk presentation on the calendar posted to the board in class. Talks should be five minutes and should sell the book and make us want to read it. The book must have been read during third or fourth quarter. Limit one. Theater Events: Attend a professional or amateur theater event. Photograph yourself at the performance. Then write a 300-500 word review of the performance. Email your review and your photo to a director/producer or organization and copy (CC) the email to me. Value **100 My Points
