The MLC Dragons took on the Two Rivers Hurricanes for the CRAL Championship. Both teams played extremely hard and showcased all the hard work that was put in over the course of the season. In the end, there could only be one team left standing. Congratulations to the Hurricanes as they earned a 62-39 victory. on to the high school level. We will certainly be seeing their names again in the future. It was truly a rewarding experience to watch them grow both on and off the court.
We sold $1551 worth of books and school supplies at our last Scholastic Book Fair in the MLC Library. This means we earned $620 Scholastic dollars for the library. Some of these funds were used to purchase books and the rest of the money will be used to purchase headphones from Scholastic. This was a huge increase compared to last years winter fair (the total for that one was $1145)! Thank you for all of your support! Look for our next Scholastic Book Fair in May and it will be the famous BOGO (Buy one get one free) sale!!!!!!!! Suzanne Artis, School Librarian suartis@crec.org
Choose Excellence!
Balanced
They understand the importance of intellectual, physical and emotional balance to achieve personal well-being for themselves and others. Over the course of the month, MLC will be highlighting this area of the learner profile. Please take some time with your student to review this trait and the positive influence it can bring to your everyday life. Here at MLC, we will be celebrating those students who exhibit caring behaviors. Your child could be one of our students of the month!
