Muscular/energeticandemotionaltensioncancausephysicaland emotionalillness.Tensionorrestrictionatthephysicallevelusually reflectsanimbalanceenergeticallyandemotionally.Usually,this meanspeoplehavelimitedtheirabilitytofeelemotionsand sensationsbecausetheywanttoescapefrompainanddiscomfort. Anotherwayofsayingthisisthatareasofourbodiesbecome trappedorfrozenintimeusually,atimeinourchildhoodthatwas painful. PROGRAMSTRUCTURE Theprogramhas4majorphases. (1)Thewarmupphaseincludessettingyourintentionfortheday, cardiowork,freemovement,haradance,stretchingandaself assessmenttodeterminewhatishappeningwitheachperson energetically,physicallyandemotionally.Atthistime,theemotional issuetobeexploredisdiscussed. (2)Groundingphase.Significantlegworkisincludedinthisphase. Thepurposeistohelppeopleconnectfullytotheirbodiesandtothe

earthenergies.Withoutthisconnectiontheywillnotbeableto exploretheemotionalissuesinabodymindfashionbecausethey willnotbeconnecteddeeplytotheirbody. (3)Thecorephaseincludesawidevarietyofexercisesusinganyor allofthefollowing:weights,ball,bands,slideandthefloor. (4)Thecooldownphaseprovidestheopportunityforparticipantsto reviewtheenergetic,emotionalandmusculardiscoveries.A stretchingcomponentisalsoincludedaswellasashortguided meditation. Thewarmupassessmentandcardiophaselastsbetween1015 minutes.Itisthenfollowedbythegroundingphase.Forgreatest effect,thegroundingphasemustbemasteredbeforemovingtothe corephase.Ifpeoplearenotconnectedtotheirbody,theywillhave difficultyfeelingtheemotionalissuebeingexploredandtheywillhave difficultyconnectingtotheircoreduringthenextphase.If participantsfeelshakingintheirlegsand/orupthebodyORthey feelflowsuptheirlegsitsignalstheyaregroundedandreadyto movetothenextphase.Theyareencouragedtobepatientandto noticeiftheyfallintotheselfjudgmenttrap.Theyareencouragedto setupatimewithmeforindividualguidance. Cardio: ThisphasefocusesontwoareastheHaradanceandfree movement.TheHaradanceisanenergeticdancedealingwiththe dimensionofintention.Itboostsenergyflowsandstrengthensour abilitytomanifestourlonging.Freemovementisamajorformofthe cardiophase.Ibegincertaindancelikemovementsthen participantslettheirbodiesflowandmovefollowingtheirownenergy patternsandindividualneeds.
