Trail features The route runs entirely on the Lechtal cycling trail. The distance is about 44 km, with an elevation gain of 200 m. Its an ideal route for children and was rated as easy. Riding time is 4.5 hours. Route description Start at Steeg and proceed downstream on the Lechtal cycling trail (no. 9). The route is well marked, just follow the green signposts with the Bike Trail Tirol logo. You will cross the Lech river several times during your ride to Holzgau and Bach. Continue past Elbigenalp and through Hselgehr, Elmen and Stanzach until you turn right to Forchach shortly before a rope bridge. This section of the Lechtal cycling trail runs to the new wooden bridge shortly before Weissenbach. Having crossed the bridge, take a sharp right and you will reach Weissenbach am Lech after a few hundred meters.

Trailhead The village of Steeg (last village before the border to Vorarlberg) is located about 50 km upstream from Reutte. Alternatively, Steeg is accessible via Bregenzer Wald and Hochtannbergpass in Vorarlberg. The trailhead is at Lechbrcke, a bridge 300 m east of the church.
