CUT DOWN TREES MEANS DISASTER

Is it really as simple as cutting down on paper or eliminating it altogether that could save thousands perhaps millions of trees? Or is the need to cut down trees as productive as meeting the demand of oil? With the population surge the appetite for trees will continue to be met. There are more people now on the planet than there has been at any other time in the history of mankind. Trees will be bulldozed to meet the needs of development for housing and the economy, which means that businesses will cut down trees for stores and parking lots. Trees will be plowed over for the Real Estate and there will be trees that will be cut as lumber for housing and the economy. Resources such as oil and gas that haven't been tapped in protected Forrest, wetlands, and wildlife preservation sites to meet the demands of the growing population will be given over to be trampled while the trees that get in the way are destroyed. Unless the government steps in creating new laws that are enforced and not undermined as it casts a blind eye away could the perils of trees be stopped. Unless the population of humans retracts and slows down it will be extremely difficult to save the trees. There are other ways that can cause an increase in the destruction of trees some unforeseen and some seen such as -1. Natural Disasters. Natural disasters consist of tornadoes, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, drought etc. Trees will be lost in the disaster area and sometimes as a result of the chain reaction emanating from the disaster zone such as mudslides and pyroclastic clouds. Man will chop down trees to rebuild. Trees being chopped down to rebuild will be in excess of the lost trees destroyed in the disaster and they will come from elsewhere outside of the disaster area. 2. Man Made Disasters. Man made disasters consist of weapons testing, bombs, nuclear meltdowns, genetics testing on trees, introduction of non-native plant species, which may carry diseases and insects. And synthetic pesticides or introduction of natural pesticides that aren't native to the area, drought as the climate changes due to mans impact on the planet and so forth. Natural and Man Made Disasters can also be attributed to wildfires. 1. Natural Wildfires can come from lightning strikes. 2. Man Made, Non-Natural, Wildfires can come from controlled burns, carelessness of putting out campfires, tossing cigarettes, sparks from vehicles and arsen.

There has to be a conscious decision by everyone to put forth efforts to not only protect trees but to replenish them to nourish and care for them. Trees are a precious resource. Deforestation is a big deal. A world with only pavement and buildings is a tragedy. Whenever I see a good number of trees somewhere, I feel very good, but afterwards I get disappointed thinking when I will see a place like this again. In India, trees are becoming very less. For centuries, trees have been saving us from heat, but how much time do we human beings take to finish their life. We cut trees, take wood, and enjoy our lives. Trees are cut for various reasons, but the basic root behind these reasons is human greed. Though there are laws for illegal cutting of trees, but human beings are too clever to budge before their self-made laws. My friend who is a nature lover told me one day that some contractors cut trees from one side. This makes the trees to lose their balance, and when wind blows the trees fall down and contractors take these trees. In this way, law is not broken, and contractors get good price of selling wood. But is this good? Not at all, humans have become too much greedy. To stop the cutting of trees, a govt. organization gave a very stupid solution of using polythene bags instead of paper bags (as paper comes from trees). Whenever I tell people not to use polythene bags, they remind me about that organizations solution. We need to understand that using polythene bags can destroy our earth. When polythene gets into soil, it stops the roots of trees to grow. Thus, trees dont get proper nourishment. And if the soil is full of these polythene bags, the trees wont grow. Also these polythene bags are harmful to animals that eat these by mistake. I can give different ideas to save trees, but whats the use! Cant we ourselves understand the importance of trees? I would say, we should imagine what would happen if there are no trees for next generation. What would save pedestrians from hot sunlight? How would we get oxygen? I hope that my article would help to save trees and people who cut trees would understand my words and stop cutting of trees. The more forests that are destroyed, the more harm that is brought upon every species in existence, including humanity. When people cut down trees, they cause an irreversible damage on the local ecosystem. When enough forests are eliminated, damage will begin on the World. It's sad that it came to this state of affairs. Cutting down too many trees will result, that nature will be gone very soon..
