MOVISCAN
AUTOMATIC DATA COLLECTION
Minimising production stoppages and reducing maintenance costs part of our objectives as well as important conditions for your profitability. To meet this target, we have designed MOVISCAN, first system associating : G local protective monitoring of machines with in situ or remote diagnosis G Monitoring machines with steady or variable operating conditions

CONTINUOUS MONITORING REMOTE DIAGNOSTIC

G A double interface : for one for Process control (alarm status), the other one for maintenance department (vibration data for diagnosis). All this with an architecture dedicated to reduce installation and cabling costs. More than a new monitoring spectrum. MOVISCAN is a new monitoring concept.

MOVISCAN is a unique system designed to monitor your machines automatically and provide pertinent information to maintenance personnel on their status :

G A SINGLE CABLE : 3 uses : Continuous monitoring Automatic data collection Remote diagnostic

G EASY AND ECONOMICAL TO INSTALL : the system's architecture minimizes the length of the sensor/MOVISCAN cables via the use of : eight-channel SCANBOX multiplexers connected to the sensors installed on the machines to be monitored a SCANBUS bus enabling sensor signals to be relayed to the MOVISCAN

G HIGH-PERFORMANCE AND USER-FRIENDLY : MOVISCAN uses high-technology components enabling to monitor and analyze complex machinery : spectrum, envelope, Kurtosis, synchronous analysis, etc. MOVISCAN is equipped with an RS232 or RS485 interface for local operation and a modem link for remote operation A single software application, the DIVADIAG, is used for MOVISCAN configuration, machine monitoring, data storage, trend analysis and diagnostics.

FLEXIBILITY

SCAN Each MOVISCAN can carry out different BOX functions according to how its is programmed by DIVADIAG software : G Continuous monitoring : MOVISCAN scans all the sensors continuously and computes the parameters of the defects to be monitored (unbalance, alignment, gear meshing, bearings, etc.). If the tolerated thresholds are reached, the monitoring parameter values are sent to the PC and the alarm or danger relays may be triggered G Automatic data collection : further to an automatic request sent by the PC, data such as overall vibration level, spectrum etc. are sent to the DIVADIAG software for trend follow-up and analysis G Remote diagnostic : periodic measurements can be programmed at any time if additional information is required for a diagnostic. These measurements intervene momentarily in the continuous monitoring cycle.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE
G Multiprocessor structure : MOVISCAN is designed around a PC which manages the various data transmission and management tasks, associated with a special processor for signal acquisition and processing G Measurements are accurate thanks to the 16bit analog-to-digital converter and the 32-bit floating-point digital signal processor.

DESIGNED TO CONTROL COMPLEX MACHINES

G 8 command inputs enable machine operating conditions to be taken into account automatically ; as the system is entirely automatic, it must be capable of taking into account machine operating conditions : in order to manage monitoring tasks efficiently (the system's resources are entirely dedicated to operating machines and ignore machines which are not in operation) in order to analyze data, as machine operating conditions are often essential to a reliable diagnostic. G 8 Trigger for synchronous analysis G Multiplexing bus interface enabling the connection of up to 128 sensors using a single cable G 4 relays are triggered in case of alarm or monitoring system defect G Modem Link for remote dialog with a DIVADIAG control and analysis station (remote diagnostic).

EASY AND ECONOMIC AL TO INS TALL

The MOVISCAN's structure makes for easy installation : a single SCANBUS cable enables the connection of up to 16 SCANBOX multiplexers per MOVISCAN. By placing the multiplexers near the machines, wiring costs are reduced. In addition, as the multiplexers and accelerometers are supplied by the same SCANBUS cable, no power supply source is required near the machines.

8 Trigger inputs (synchronous acquisition, rotation speed)

8 TOR inputs (operating conditions)

USER-FRIENDLY
The data measured is analyzed using the DIVADIAG software. Its user-friendly interface enables easy access to the various configuration, monitoring, trend analysis and diagnostic functions. DIVADIAG is also compatible with portable data collectors for the monitoring of less strategic machines. It also enables oil-analysis result management. You can also choose to carry out multi-technique monitoring of your entire machine park using the same tool and the same database. The telephone modem link enables analysis data from several MOVISCAN modules to be sent to your vibration analysis center, at any location. The monitored information is also available locally via front panel leds, relay outputs and an RS485/Modbus link with Process Control.

EXAMPLES OF APPLICATIONS
G PAPER MANUFACTURING : Monitoring of paper machine using accelerometers and temperature sensors located at strategic points (press, drying rollers, etc.). Advantages offered by MOVISCAN : - measurements always done in identical conditions (e.g. speed), thereby facilitating diagnostic - placing SCANBOXES near the machine minimizes wiring and installation costs - use of envelope detection for low-speed roller diagnostic.

Monitoring of platform machinery and automated local protection by alarms
