Quadrate of Competences
The quadrate of competences was developed in order to accomplish the aim of relating the essential services of Hilfswerk Austria International more strongly to the brand. The quadrate of competences is a quadrate in a defined orange, containing three selected terms in a defined yellow or white. It is a means of intensive communication through signals, which is why its information is intentionally shortened. The quadrate of competences is available as vector graphics.
In addition to the logo, the picture band is used with special kinds of typography or for promotional purposes. It consists of the logo, specific pictures and the quadrate of competences in a defined arrangement. The picture band is accurately defined and must not be decomposed, relationally distorted or in any other way altered or nourished. However, there is the possibility of adjusting the logo to diverse demands of size or utilisation, without jeopardising design and proportion. Generally, the picture band is used in the above right corner in a bleeding format. There a few defined exceptions to this rule. The standard version of the picture band is available as a PDF.
Typography
Hilfswerk Austria Internationals corporate font is Arial. It is clearly legible and conveys a pure and timeless impression. Arial is used for hard copies, letters, placards, printed forms, flyers, advertising material and electronic media; within these for headlines, subheadings, underlines and short running texts (as in flyers) For publications with longer running texts (which are normally professionally graphically designed), Plantin MT Std Regular, which guarantees as a serif font greater readability, is utilised.

For the creation of a Power Point presentation, a Microsoft Power Point sample is available. This sample contains several main slides and in the mode style sheets additional options for other slide formats. In general, the following applies to Power Point presentations: Font size not below 20 Keywords instead of complete sentences Rather several well-arranged slides than few crowded ones Power Point slides support a presentation, they dont replace it. They nourish and complete what was said, contain key information and visualisation.
