Understand and apply the standard rules for measurement. Standard Method of Measurement (SMM) used in Singapore. Interpret drawings and recognise items of work in place and categories them into elements.. Demonstrate the booking of dimensions in a neat and orderly fashion using the Trade-by-Trade Method of taking-off. Understand the difference between the Trade-by-Trade and Group methods of taking-off. Prepare a draft Bill of Quantities (BQ) for some of the more basic forms of construction.
