There is usually a galley steward to assist the duty cook. STEWARDS: STEWARDS Rig Ri catering i staff ff keeps k accommodation d i and d mess rooms habitable and assist in the galley and elsewhere to the chief stewards requirements. The whole shifts working clothes, which get extremely dirty on a rig, rig are washed at the end of each tour, tour with a steward operating the laundry service. The catering staff may be directly employed by the drilling contractor, or may work through an offshore crewing agency. agency
