Admission Notification -2014 School of Insurance Studies National Law University offers MBA (Insurance) and Master of Science (MS) (Insurance) Degree Programmes. Applications are invited for admission to 11th Batch of MBA (Insurance) and 6th Batch of MS (Insurance) Our USPs 1. CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION Admission to MBA Insurance / MS Insurance programme shall be based on merit drawn on the following basis: MBA Insurance- MAT Score (Score of any examination of MAT 2013 or 2014) MS Insurance Marks obtained in degree examination. For the candidates who have appeared/are appearing for the final semester/year of qualifying examination marks obtained in final semester/year of qualifying examination shall be the basis of ranking. Besides this there will be no other selection parameter. ELIGIBILITY FOR APPLICATION The criteria of eligibility for admission shall be as follows: MBA (Insurance) Four Semesters 2 Years Minimum 55% marks in Higher Secondary Level (12th) Full Time Graduation with minimum 55% marks from a recognized University. MS (Insurance) Two Semesters 1 Year Minimum 55% marks in Higher Secondary Level (12th) Full Time Graduation with minimum 55% marks in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical and allied Engineering Streams excluding Electronics and Tele Communication, Computer Science and Information Technology). A relaxation of 5% of marks in eligibility criteria shall be admissible to candidates belonging to SC and ST categories.

Candidates who have appeared/are appearing for the final semester/year of qualifying examination may also apply subject to following conditions: 1. Candidate must have secured minimum 55% marks in aggregate in all the semesters/years of undergraduate examinations passed on the date of application with no back papers for previous semesters/years. 2. The proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria for graduation mentioned above shall be furnished by the candidate by September 30, 2014. 3. The candidates, who do not furnish such proof or not fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria at the time of finalization of admission for any reason including non-declaration of result or revaluation of declared result, their admission will be automatically cancelled. RANKING LIST Separate Ranking List shall be prepared for MBA and MS (Insurance) Programmes. Ranking List shall be prepared based on: 1. MBA Insurance- MAT Score (Score of any examination of MAT 2013 or 2014) 2. MS Insurance i. Marks obtained in degree examination. ii. For the candidates who have appeared/are appearing for the final semester / year of qualifying examination, consolidated marks of all the semesters / years as reflected in the final mark sheet shall be the basis of ranking. MAXIMUM SEATS MBA (Insurance) Upto 20 MS (Insurance) Upto 15 i. ii. For the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination - Upto 12 For the candidates who have appeared/are appearing for the final semester/year of qualifying examination- Upto 3

The seats in MS Insurance Programmes for the two categories of candidates mentioned above shall be interchangeable if seats in any category remain vacant. RESERVATION Seats in both the courses individually shall be reserved as under: i. Candidates belonging to SC and ST categories - 15% and 7.5% seats respectively ii. Candidates with disability 3% seats Both the courses shall be full time residential. Commencement of Admission Process Applications shall be invited from 1st April 2014 to 31st May 2014. First ranking list shall be published by 10th June 2014. Selected candidates shall be required to deposit the fees by 25th June 2014.

IMPORTANT DATES Application form and brochure shall be made available from 1st March 2014 Last date for submission of application form 31st May 2014 Declaration of Result (First Ranking List) By 10st June 2014 Brochure and application form may be procured by sending a demand draft of Rs 2,000/(Rupees Two Thousand Only) drawn in favour of the Registrar, National Law University, Jodhpur or may be downloaded from our websites www.nlujodhpur.ac.in / www.insuranceschoolnlu.ac.in and while submitting the downloaded application a demand draft of Rs 2,000/- must be attached.
