Pre-Qualification Registration & Assessment NOTE: (Before filling the form, please read and understand documents carefully) Introduction: Agribusiness Support Fund (ASF) is a Not-for-Profit company registered with Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under Section 42 of Companies Ordinance 1984. The company was established in 2005 by Ministry of Food, Agriculture & Livestock (MINFAL) with the support of Asian Development Bank (ADB) in context of the Agribusiness Development & Diversification Project (ADDP). The company is governed by a private-sector led independent Board of Directors. The company is currently implementing a 5-year USAIDs Agribusiness Project with the overall goal to support improved conditions for broad-based economic growth, create employment opportunities and contribute to poverty alleviation through increase in competitiveness of horticulture and livestock value chains. ASF will undertake a competitive bidding exercise, intending to issue a solicitation document to those companies which shall express their interest and provide initial relevant information demonstrating their ability to fulfill ASFs requirements.
The Improvised Reefers and Field Pack houses:

The intervention aims at providing low-cost improvised postharvest management technology for the fruits and vegetables. The improvised reefer will be used as a source of field heat removal as well as on-farm temporary storage of fruits and vegetables with 3-5 tons capacity. The same reefer will be installed on a frame, which will be able to be placed on any commercial freight vehicle, towed with tractor and taken to the any market place. The storage facility will provide temperature and humidity controls depending on the type of commodity and environmental temperature. The intervention will result in increasing the shelf life and improving the produce quality of fruits and vegetables.
Specific Objectives: 1. To supply and install improvised reefers and field pack houses in the selected value chains of fruits and vegetables; 2. Reduction in post-harvest losses and improve the fruit quality for supply to local and export market; 3. Establish better marketing linkages with local and international traders/exporters; 4. Provide income generation, employment and women involvement opportunities by using improvised post-harvest technology for fruits/vegetables in the selected value chains.

Pre-Qualification/EOI Process: This Pre-qualification document does not constitute any binding to purchase or any intention to get offers from suppliers at this stage. ASF reserves the right to change or cancel these requirements at any time in the pre-qualification and/or solicitation process. ASF considers a firm's qualifications and experience in the service area, and previous performance, when preparing a list of invitees. Thus, submitting a pre-qualification does not automatically guarantee a firm will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Due to the high volume of communications, ASF may not be in position to issue confirmation of receipt of Pre-qualification document.
