1.

INTRODUCTION

1.1

The well Mukh 02/10 will shortly be drilled as an ES-PCP single oil producer and the flow
lines will be tied into the header at MUKHAIZANA. Please arrange to carry out the following
works with all the safety precautions and in accordance with PDO standards, specifications
and enclosed drawings.

2.

SCOPE OF WORK.

2.1

The scope of work includes but not limited to Well pad hook up piping, headers extension
with spare slots, laying 6300# oil line and 3/6300# diluent line from well pad to tie in to the
extended 10 Oil and 6 Diluent headers at Mukhaizana field and Electrical, Instrument
installation.

2.2 On pad LV hook up shall be installed prior to rig on location, which should include HV and LV
trenching, Instrument cable laying and back filling of trenches. Flow line installation to be
completed prior to rig move from the location.
3.

DEPRESSURISING.

PDO operation shall depressurise and drain the existing 10 oil and 6 dilutent header
at Mukh field prior to commencement of any work.
4.

FLOW LINE WORK.

4.1

Transport, Fabricate and Install One 6-300# (API 5L X 42, 5.2 thk. sour) Oil Flow line &
3/6-300# Diluent line 600 meter long each on new sleepers from the well pad to tie in/
header.

4.2

Tie in the oil flow line at location T-01 & T-02 and diluent line at location T-03 & T-04 as
shown in Drg. MUKH-02/10-001 and MUKH-02/10-002.

4.3

Transport and install 1m long new 107 sleepers on the flow line route and at well pad hook up.

4.4

Installation of the new sleeper supports shall be at maximum 7 meter spacing on flow line and
5 meter spacing on On pad hook-up (MUK-3-0557-001-N6) as noted on the attached drawings
and PDO-ERD-10-13. Guides shall be installed on every second support unless noted
otherwise.

4.5

Install 8 Nos. 0.5m length anchors on flow line route at location shown on flow line routing
plan, and anchors shall be modified for the 6 new Diluent line. Anchoring of flow line shall
be carried out strictly as per PDO standards and specification.

4.6

Install 2 nos. roads crossing (sag) as indicated on the new 6 diluent line routing plan drg. Nos.
MUKH-02/10-001 & 002. Buried pipe/ground touching pipe shall be externally coated with
Hempadour 8553 (or) Sigmarite EPH with DFT 500 microns.

4.7

Flow line shall be provided with standard identification marker plates near remote manifold.

4.8

Where fittings have heavier wall thickness than the line pipe, or vice versa, transitioning of 1:4
shall be carried out on the heavier walled material.

4.9

Construct the flow line as per the actual site location / condition.

5.

ON -PLOT WORK.

5.1

Fabricate and install one 6 oil (31440) and 3 diluent (31420) standard hook up (300# ESPCP) as per latest reference Drg. MUK-3-0554-357-N6-3, MUK-3-0554-292-N6-3, MUK-30554-425-N6-3, MUK-3-0554-426-N6-3,MUK-3-0554-475-N6-3 and MUK-3-0557-001-N61.

5.2

Modify wellhead cellar grating.

5.3

Sample connection orientation shall be 45 degree to the hook up piping to avoid crude falling
on the piping. CSR to advice accordingly. Sample connection shall be extended so that the take
off point is over the cellar grating to ensure that any spillage occurring during sampling will be
contained in the cellar.

5.4

On-plot pipe work shall be pre-fabricated before the rig moves off to achieve 2 days hook-up
plan.

6.

HYDRO TESTING AND INSPECTION.

6.1 Hydro test new flow line, diluent line and on pad piping in accordance with the latest revision of

PDO ERD 10-13. Hydro test water to be supplied. Hydro test pressure shall be 5900 kpag for
300# Flow line and 7125 kpag for hook-up piping. Pigging shall be carried out prior to hydro
testing, on both diluent and production lines
Radiography shall be 10% overall (on plot and off plot) and in accordance with latest revision
of PDO standard SP-1176. 100% radiography shall be carried out for the tie ins T01, T02, T03
and T04.

TIE-IN WORK.

7.1

Cold cut and Mud plug the existing 10 oil line and 6 diluent line and weld the
flanges at T01, T02, T03 & T04 to fit the branching spools as shown in the drawing
MUKH-02/10001 & MUKH-02/10002

8.

FABRICATION AND WELDING.

8.1

Fabrication and welding of pipe work shall be carried out in accordance with PDO standard SP1173 for on plot & SP-1174 for off plot.

9.

ELECTRICAL.

9.1

All Electrical Installation work shall be carried out in accordance with the latest issues of the
relevant SPs, DEPs and PDO Standard Drawings along with Project Drawings as a minimum
requirement.
New OHL not required for this project. HV cable to be taken from existing D5A type pole
(proposed in Mukh-02/10-003).
OHL pole number plates and OHL identification plate shall be supplied, inscribed and
installed, liaising with PDO electrical engineer required.
Install earth nest to give maximum of 7ohms at D5A type pole structure with cabling (lay &
terminate 1cx70 mm2 earth cable from earth nest to pole) as per standard drawing STD-40319-01 cube shape.
Install 2Nos. Transformers and one no. VSD panel foundations.

Install Step-down/up (step-down TX + step-up TX) transformer 33kV/415V & 415V/1100V


3300V on standard foundations.
Install VSD panel on standard foundation. Secure and grout the VSD panel. The panel opening
should face north to protect from sun light. Bolts to be supplied by contractor.
Install utility panel on the standard stand. Supply, fabricate and painting of the stand for utility
panel to be done by contractor.
Installation of cable protection tiles, back filling of the trench after cable laying, and
supply/installation of cable route markers is included in the scope.
Lay and terminate electrical cables and earth cables as per approved drawing MUKH-02/10004.
Make use of existing rig earth nest to give a maximum resistance of 4 ohm. In case of more
4ohm resistance then additional pits MUST be drilled in consultation with OQE/32B.
Pre-rig-on activity on-pad hook-up: Cables shall be left insulated, coiled and buried safely at
ES-PCP end.
Trenches shall be well compacted after backfilling using a roller compacter.
Cable markers shall be in place to indicate cable routing.
On first day after rig moves off location and after location clean up, hand excavate for
exposing buried cables and terminate.

10.

INSTRUMENTATION.

10.1

The instrumentation scope includes BS&W probe, D/P transmitter, RTU, pressure switch,
pressure gauges, wellhead JB, pressure transmitter, coriolis sensors, and RFTs. The work has
to be carried out as per PDO Standards, Specifications and Drawings.

10.2

Calibrate and install one 0-6000 kpa pressure gauge, three 0-6000 kpa pressure gauges, and 06000 kpa pressure gauge on the sonolog connection. Total Nos. of pressure gauges is 4. (06000 kpa).

10.3

Calibrate and install one pressure transmitter, one pressure switch, and one DP transmitter.
Pressure transmitter range shall be 0-4750 kpa, pressure switch setting shall be 4750 kpa and
PDI range shall be 0-50 kpa.

10.4

Note: All pressure settings to be confirmed with OQE/33B prior to commissioning.

10.5

Install two coriolis sensors and two RFTs at both diluent and production lines. Install one
BS&W meter at production line.

10.6

Use 2 PVC conduit for RTU RS-232 cables. Use flexible conduit between VSD and RTU.
The flexible conduit shall be supplied.

10.7

Use existing electrical cable trench from the VSD panel to venting box. Make sure electrical
and instrument cables are at least 750mm apart. Sand padding, cable protection tiles, back
filling of the trench after cable laying, and supply/installation of cable route markers is
included in the scope.

10.8

Excavate an instrument cable trench approx. 50m long from the coriolis up to wellhead. Sand
padding, cable protection tiles, back filling of the trench after cable laying and
supply/installation of cable route markers is included in the scope.

10.9

Lay and terminate instrument cable as per approved drawing MUKH-02/10-004

10.10

Supply, fabricate and install junction box support for new junction box.

10.11

Collect new RTU Model EXS 1000-162-00 from stores and handover to SCADA Marmul for
configuration.

10.12

Install new RTU mounting support, foundation with sunshade.

NOTE: It shall be verified that there is no stress put upon the coriolis sensors from the pipe
spools. Sensors must be installed completely stress free in the piping. Cable ends shall be
insulated, coiled and buried at ES-PCP side. Trenches shall be properly compacted after
backfilling using a roller compacter. Cable markers shall be in place to indicate cable routing.
On first day after rig moves off location and after location clean up, expose buried instrument
cables.
10.13

Engrave the provided blank nameplates (13 Nos.) type A` as per nameplate drawings.

11.

CIVIL.

11.1

The civil scope is included under the mechanical, Electrical and Instrument sections. All
earthworks shall be performed in accordance with the appropriate PDO procedures and
standard drawings. Standard RTU stand, Transmitter stands and Junction box stand are to be
fabricated, painted and supplied as required.

MATERIALS.

13.

TESTING AND COMMISSIONING.

13.1

Test packs shall be provided upon completion of the work. Test packs to be submitted prior
to commissioning of the well.
The company Operations personnel are responsible for commissioning the system after
installation. All flange joints shall be checked for any leaks during pre-commissioning.

13.2

SAFETY.

14.1

Ensure at all times that a current permit to work is in operation for all work related
activities which are to be carried out. Should a permit to work date expire before completion of
the works then no work shall proceed on any of the facilities until such time as a current/valid
permit has been assigned for the works to be completed.
Safety precautions to be taken while working near the hazardous area and existing overhead
lines, F/L & other existing facilities.
All vehicles to be parked at safe distance from existing from overhead lines, F/L, and other
existing facilities.ESR/ESOP applicable to overhead lines works to be strictly followed.

SHUTDOWN

15.1

The tie-in for this work will involve shutdown of existing well MUK-6. In order to
keep the shut down time to a minimum it shall be ensured that the 10 Oil header and
6 diluent header with spare slots (with isolation valves) made and kept ready before
shutdown (suit as per the site conditions). Also OQE/31B shall be consulted to plan the
shutdown / tie-in schedule
