4. BFA
To move the BFA from operational position to rest position it is necessary to disengage the rotation cylinders and operate on the gear motors. Procedure it is described below. Operations shall be performed in LOCAL/REST mode from the BFA HPU. 1 From Operational position to rest position n 1. 2. Task Disconnect Mud hoses from BFA Switch on BFA HPU (Keys are required). Check the oil temperature. Turn on 2 pumps Oil temperature > 24 C BFA rotates on gearboxes only if it is raised to TBDdeg (70 % cyl elongation) Make sure that both pinions are engaged. Two red lights in the HPU control panel confirm the engagement. Notes

3. Turn switch to Local. Raise the BFA until m 1 is TBD deg. Lift Boom 2 until is aligned h Boom 1 4. Engage Gearboxes Pinions By lifting the lever (see pic attached).

Remove Rotation cylinders pin connected to the BFA basement. Disengage the left Cylinder head from the BFA basement Close the circuit of the left cylinder with the valve on the bottom of the cylinder. Activate Rotation left to retract left cylinder, at the same time turn the override switch to allow cylinder movement. Close the circuit of the cylinder right with the valve on the bottom of the cylinder. Red lights Cylinder pin disengaged shall turn on Red light left cylinder pin disengaged shall illuminate

10. Disengage the right cylinder head from the BFA basement 11. Activate Rotation right to retract right cylinder, at the same time turn the override switch to allow cylinder movement. 12. Clear the area around BFA basement 13. Turn the HPU switch to Rest position mode 14. Activate Rotation Left. Keep the rotation until BFA diffuser is above the boom rest

The BFA shall rotate only if all the red lights cylinder pin

on deck. 15. Turn switch to Local mode 16. Lower the boom on the boom rest. Last part of the stroke has an automatic depressurize system to discharge the remaining pressure from the cylinders. Keep lowering until pressure reading is 0 (read the pressure from control van HMI BFA page)

Turn switch to Local. Raise the BFA until Boom 1 is TBD deg. Lift Boom 2 until is aligned with Boom 1 Clear the area around BFA basement Turn switch to rest position Activate Rotation Right and rotate the BFA. Keep the rotation until operational position (135 angle from vessel Bow)

Turn switch to local Close the circuit of the cylinder left with the valve on the bottom of the cylinder. Activate Rotation right to extend right cylinder, at the same time turn the override switch to allow cylinder rotation. Close the circuit of the cylinder right with the valve on the bottom of the cylinder. From HPU panel the red light right cylinder pin disengage shall turn off.
