Pro Life Message:

Every human person is created in the image and likeness of God. The conviction that human life is sacred and that each person has inherent dignity that must be respected in society lies at the heart of Catholic social teaching. Calls to advance human rights are illusions if the right to life itself is subject to attack. We believe that every human life is sacred from conception to natural death; that people are more important than things; and that the measure of every institution is whether or not it

CARE AND SHARE 2014

It is our goal this year to make more information available in our diocese regarding Care and Share. A great source of information is the new website of the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Montana: www.catholicfoundationmt.org. While the entire site is still being built, there is plenty of information about Care and Share, including individual parish goals and progress, testimonials about how funds are used, and more. You can also give online and send us your own questions that you would like answered. May God bless you richly for your support of Care and Share 2014!

Stewardship & Development

"Not as man sees does God see, because man sees the appearance but the Lord looks into the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7 How often do we invest our time, talent and treasure in creating an appearance that does not matter at all to God? We strive to impress with our clothing, home, career, possessions, car and other marks of distinction. But none of these illusions of greatness will impress God. Instead, He will look into our hearts to see how much we loved Him, how much we loved others and how we showed that love by the way we used our time, talents and treasure here on earth.

Anyone who needs to have prayers said for someone can call: Brenda Rummel at 301-0936; Jean Niebur at 654-2822. Names will be listed in the bulletin for one month unless specified.

Mass Intentions
As Catholics, we have a long tradition of having Masses celebrated for those we wish to offer up in prayer. The Mass is the ultimate form of prayer, and each Mass is celebrated for an intention. Please consider having Masses celebrated for family and friends on special occasions and anniversaries, as well as those who are in need of prayers. Masses are also encouraged in memory of those loved ones who have died, especially on the anniversaries of their deaths. Contact Fr. Cory for more information!

To reserve the Parish Basement or other St. Marys facility, please contact Fr. Cory or Lana at the Parish Office (email office@SaintMarysMalta.org).

Operation Rice Bowl

Fourth Week of Lent Reflection: Malawi This week, CRS Rice Bowl invites us to enter into solidarity with the people of Malawi. We are encouraged to reflect on the Catholic social teaching principle, Dignity of Work and Rights of Workers, and reminded that, just as He labored to create the universe, God sanctifies and calls us to work. Let us pray this week for our brothers and sisters in Malawi and all around the world, that we work with joy for Gods greater glory.

Loving Father of mine, I feel the pace quicken, the time draw near. I am filled with joy as I move toward Easter and the promised reconciliation with you. Teach me to follow the example of your Son, to be worthy of being called one his people: A Christian. Help me to live each day as he did turning hatred to love and conflict to peace. I await the new life with eagerness, faith and a deep gratitude.
