Additional Information: The Texas Oilman’s Bass Invitational is a nonprofit
organization founded in 1990. Since then, they have raised
[$863,789.30/1million] to provide financial assistance for less fortunate and
underinsured families, send patients to dialysis and transplant camp and help fund
computers patients can use while in the dialysis unit. This year, they raised
$175,000 for the Texas Children’s Hospital, with a focus on the renal department.

October 17 National Guard FLW College Tournament @ Cypress Bend Park


1. The Stephen F. Austin team of Ryan Watkins of Nacogdoches, Texas, and
Andrew Upshaw of Hemphill, Texas, won the National Guard FLW College
Fishing Texas Division event on Toledo Bend Saturday with six bass weighing
18 pounds even. The victory earned the team $10,000 to be split evenly between
the university and the university’s bass-fishing club.
