Smoking is a practice in which a substance, most commonly tobacco, is burned and the smoke is tasted or inhaled (wikipedia).

Smoking is one of the most common forms of recreational drug use. Tobacco smoking is today by far the most popular form of smoking and is practiced by over one billion people in the majority of all human societies. Less common drugs for smoking include cannabis and opium. Some of the substances are classified as hard narcotics, like heroin, but the use of these is very limited as they are often not commercially available. Smoking can also be done as a part of rituals, to induce trances and spiritual enlightenment. The most common method of smoking today is through cigarettes, primarily industrially manufactured but also hand-rolled from loose tobacco and rolling paper. Other smoking implements include pipes, cigars, bidis, hookahs, vaporizers, and bongs. It has been suggested that smoking-related disease kills one half of all long term smokers but these diseases may also be contracted by non-smokers. A 2007 report states that about 4.9 million people worldwide each year die as a result of smoking. Today medical studies have proven that smoking tobacco is among the leading causes of many diseases such as lung cancer, heart attacks, erectile dysfunction and can also lead to birth defects. The inherent health hazards of smoking have caused many countries such as Singapore to institute high taxes on tobacco products and antismoking campaigns are launched every year in an attempt to curb tobacco smoking. Smoker seems doesnt really pay attention about bad impact of smoking. Whereas, smoking can cause cancer, heart disease, emphysema, impotention, and disruption of pregnancy and embryo as shown on cigarette package. Smoking behavior also contribute 30% mortality of all cancer contracter and 87% mortality of all lung cancer contracter. There are about 15 kind

of cancer that caused by smoking, those are nasopharing, nasal cavity, lips, oral cavity, pharing, laring, lung, esophagus, pancreatic, servic, stomach, kidney, and leukemia. Tobacco smoke contains chemicals that are harmful to both smokers and nonsmokers. Breathing even a little tobacco smoke can be harmful. more than 7,000 chemicals in tobacco smoke, at least 250 are known to be harmful. Among the 250 known harmful chemicals in tobacco smoke, at least 69 can cause cancer. The mixture of nicotine and carbon monoxide in each cigarette smoked temporarily increases heart rate and blood pressure, straining heart and blood vessels. All forms of tobacco are harmful and addictive. There is no safe tobacco product. In addition to regular cigarettes and cigars, other forms of tobacco include smokeless tobacco (also called chewing tobacco and snuff), pipes, hookahs (waterpipes), and kreteks. Although most research has focused on the harms of cigarette smoking, all forms of tobacco are harmful. All tobacco products contain nicotine and cancer-causing substances. Both smokeless tobacco and smoking tobacco are known to cause cancer in humans.
