We created Goldman Sachs University to help our people grow professionally starting with their orientation and integration into the firm and continuing with ongoing development over the course of their careers. Each year, over 98 of our employees attend one or more GSU programs. ORIENTATION !ou "ecome part of the Goldman Sachs team from the moment you accept an offer of employment. #o reflect this, your orientation starts well "efore your first day in the office. $ew hires are given access to online resources to help them get to %now the firm. Each month, we send out a communication highlighting the same information that is sent to our employees. #his ena"les pre&hires to "egin to understand the culture, the activities and the e'pectations associated with wor%ing at Goldman Sachs. We also encourage managers to reach out to new hires prior to their start dates. (s part of our on"oarding process, new hires spend time with our senior leaders, "oth in formal training programs such as )Symposium* and )+irmwide (nalyst and (ssociate ,rientation* and more informally through meetings, pro-ects and daily interactions. #his process accelerates their integration into the firm, and provides senior management an opportunity to get to %now new hires. Wellness programs, and diversity in a concise format, with additional information availa"le on line. CONTINUING EDUCATION Goldman Sachs University 4GSU5, our internal training and development function, offers courses to help you at each stage of your career. GSU programs cover leadership development, products and mar%ets training, diversity and inclusion, culture and orientation, and professional s%ills. 6eading e'perts from within and outside the firm teach many of our more than 7,222 programs. !ou can ta%e a course in various formats 4classroom, We"cast, e&learning5, depending on how much time you have and how much you need to %now. #hrough our personali8ed, online curriculum roadmaps, you0ll find the courses our leaders recommend for people in your role. #hese core curricula are designed to help you advance your s%ills within current and new areas of responsi"ilities. ,ur tailored roadmaps allow you to "e proactive, to invest in your own development and to ta%e part in the e'tensive training opportunities the firm has to offer. !our roadmap will "e tailored to your "usiness, region and location as well as your personal goals.
