Placethemagnesiumstripintoanemptybeaker. Placesyringeintothecork,makingsureitissnug. Pour100mLoftheHClintothebeaker. Immediatelyplacethecorkwithsyringeintotheopeningofthebeakerandstartstopwatch Recordthevolumeofgascollectedinthesyringein10secondintervalsuntilthereactionseems tohavereachedcompletion(bubblesarenolongerbeingproduced) 10.
