Thank you so much to all the families who came out for Super Family Night. We had a great time and we truly enjoyed watching everyone participate in the activities. Thank you, also, for supporting our book fair!

Science- Students finished and most presented their slide show on their space topic for our Big 6 research project. Social Studies- We are continuing our study on the American Revolution. There were many battles and events that occurred leading up to the war and during it. We discussed the continental congress, and the battle of Lexington and Concord. Math- Wow! Thanks to Grace S., Abbie C., Kylie J, and Eddie F. for the book donations! Your generousity has enriched our classroom! Please study how to find the area of triangles and continue to review fractions! How many multiplication facts can you do in a minute! IXL.com.

Language Arts: Next week we will begin Lesson 16 in Storytown. In this lesson, students will use text evidence and personal experiences to form inferences about text. In grammar, students will learn to distinguish between subjective- and objective-case pronouns. The grammar quiz will be administered on Friday, April 4th. Also, please remember that Book-It calendars for the month of March are due on Tuesday. Science: Next week we will wrap up Chapter 17: Earth in Space. The chapter test will be administered on Friday, April 4th. A study guide will be sent home to help your child prepare. Social Studies: Students will continue to study the events and outcomes of the battles of the Revolutionary War.

Next week's spelling words are words with prefixes im-, in-, ir-, and il-. Students can practice their words on spellingcity.com. Click on find a list, type in my name and click on lesson 16. We will continue to study pronouns with the focus on subjective and objective case pronouns. Students can review pronouns by playing the pronoun games on edmodo. Next week's reading skill will be making inferences. Students can practice this skill by playing the games on edmodo. March "Book It" is due on Thursday, April 3. A very

I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy Super Family Night! The students coordinate grid pictures look fantastic. Hopefully you got a chance to take a look. Next week, we will continue studying area of polygons and will also begin exploring volume of prisms. Book Report Update: All students should have a book. Some students still need to show me their reading plan so I can get them their requirement sheet for their project. This was due on Monday 3/24 so I will extend to this coming Tuesday 4/1. Students need to show me their reading plan by then or I will pick a project for them! In reading, our focus skill will be literary devices. In grammar, we continue our study on verbs with a focus on past-tense and future tense verbs. In spelling, we won't be hearing all the letters in a word when we learn about words with silent letters. Students will have a homework packet this week. March Book-It calendars will be due Friday, March 4. Thank you and have a great weekend!!
