Dear Brother & sister It is with pleasure I sit down to write a few words to you I would inform you that we are as well as common a Blessing we ought ever to be thankful for while the youth & the aged are taken we are spared I expect you have heard of Mothers death & likewise Betsey Rangers O that these sollom warnings might excite us to be more earnestly enga[ge]d to be prepared to be also ready that weather the Bridgegroom cometh at midnight or at cockcrowing we might be fount wanting I would inform you that Father & grace live alone Grace has been quite sick since mother died & Father has not been very well It seemes as though they could no[n?] live alone I think he has been waiting for Parsons to come & see him before he did any thing about his property I would inform you that we had a son born the 2 day of May I am in great haste & must conclude by wishing you to come & see us as soonas you can make it convienyent I wish you would write the first opportunity please to give our Love to all our Friends & accept of the same to your selves Richfield june th 13 1819 Annah Hitchings
