Reflective Essay NEVER GIVE UP IN LIFE For all the time, it is very important to stay strong and never give up as life was never meant to be easy. The main character in the A Violin with Three Strings who is a violinist could still play the broken violin by not giving up. Although he has physical disabilities, but he has proved that he can still work out his life well and even achieve success just like the broken violin could still play on with three strings. Usually, there are lots of people that are easily accepted the fact and their failure in changing their fate. Even though the character Itzhak Perlman is not perfect as other people in the physical aspect, but he is still strong in mentality and even achieve his dream successfully. In paragraph 3, Itzhak Perlman was described as a man that walked painfully and slowly just to come up to the stage for his violins performance. And then in paragraph 5, a problem occurred when one of the strings on the violin suddenly broke. But later, he continued his performance without any sense of tension instead of the audiences thought that he will left off the stage quietly. This incident shown that he had enough strength in his heart which make him wouldnt be easily beat down by such problem. His attitude in facing his fate by never giving up has reminded me the other people who also inspired me a lot. Nick Vujicic, an inspiring speaker who had visited 24 countries to give talks to people. Although he has no limbs, but still he has a normal life, and even career. In daily life, he can do everything just like a normal people such as swimming, typing, plays drum and golf and many else. According to the book Unstoppable: The Incredible Power of Faith in Action(Vujicic, 2012), being unstoppable is about believing and achieving. Its about having faith in yourself, your talents and your purpose and even in Gods great love. He feels love to everyone in the world and even feels thankful to God because he still has a chicken wing except the limbs. He appreciates things that he had and work hard to achieve his own dreams but not to do nothing and hoping for others help. In my opinion, I am truly agreed with what Nick Vujicic had said before There are some things in life that are out of your control that you cant change and youre got to live with the choice that we have, though, is either to give up or keep on going and its not going to believe in yourself or everybody elses judgement on you. In daily life, there are many challenges that could hit us down easily unless we have the

strong heart and belief that it is not the end until we give up. Although we were defeated, we shall not make excuse for our failure or blame others but in the other ways we shall try again and again until succeed. As a conclusion, people shall not easily give up when they are fail to overcome the problems and shall greatly believe their dreams will come true at one day by trying over and over again. In A Violin with Three Strings, the violinist still can plays with his broken violin because he have strong belief with his ability and not easily being knock down by a small incident. Same as the Unstoppable: The Incredible Power of Faith in Action, Nick Vujicic had make explanations on the ways to become unstoppable in life. There are always the ways to be unbeatable during the path towards the success. We should learn from those especially the people with disabilities who are always brave and not give up in facing the challenges without any feeling of self-abasement. Just like what Nick Vujicic had said, Give up or get up is the choices and reasons for our failure or success. (658 words)
