Guidelines for the Project Report


MBA, Semester IV
PROJECT The research projects in M.B.A, Semester IV aims at providing inputs to the students relevant to the business industry and trade so that they can function in different organizations and face the challenges arising there from. The projects not only aim at providing practical knowledge in different areas of management, but also enhance the analytical skills of students. The MBA Research Project provides Masters level students with an opportunity to undertake a significant piece of self-managed research in a relevant area of particular interest. This research project work exposes the students to the real world business scenarios and gives them competitive edge in the industry. While carrying out the research project students of MBA, Semester IV should adhere to the following: Strictly follow the Project Schedule and timely update the Project details on portal to avoid disciplinary action. Consult your Guide from time to time, as well as whenever necessary, carry out suggested changes by your guide and then proceed for next step.

Do take signatures of your project guide as required on your progress report sheet.

Work regularly with commitment and ensure you are following Project Report Activity Completion Schedule and avoid last minutes hustle.

The entire research project report should be written in third form only except the Declaration and Acknowledgement, where students can write first form and use I, me, myself, etc.

Prescribed Cover Page and Guidelines


The cover page must be hard bound in Black Color with Gold Embossing. The students Enrollment No., Class & Batch No. must be written on the rim of the project report. The size of the report would depend on the project undertaken by the student. However it must between 60 to 100 typed pages (1.5 space) on A4 size paper. All the students are required to use the uniform font and format i.e. Times New Roman of font size 12 in the text (except in heading and subheadings) through out the text of the report. The project report must accompany a certificate authenticating the originality of the work done in the prescribed format.

BIBLIOGRAPHY
Words or list of the words referred in a text or consulted by you for writing report. It should be arranged in alphabetical order by name of the authors.

For Books Name of the author (Last name first), Title of the book, Edition, Year of publication, No. of Vol. (If any) Name and Place of Publisher. E.g.: Kothari, C.R.: Training methodology, 3rd edition, 1997, Vikas Publishing House Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi, For Training Papers, Published articles, Magazines, Periodicals, Journals, Newspapers etc. Name of the author (last name first), Title of the article in double quotes _ mark, Name of the Journals /Periodicals /Magazines etc. in italics, Volume number, Year, Page Numbers. E.g.: Wortman Maxs (Jr.): Entrepreneurship: An Integrating Typology and Evaluation of the Empirical Training in the field, Journal of Management, Vol. 13 (2), 1967, pp259-279. Online published material on World Wide Web (Alphabetically arranged Webliography) Name of Website, Name of the Author, Title /Topic
