RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PUBLIC ADIMINSTRATION AND FAMILY

In this assignment I describe about relationship between public administration and my family. Every person has a family. Definition of family had been given by many sociologists. The family forms the basic unit of social organization and it is difficult to imagine how human society could function without it. The family has been seen as a universal social institution an inevitable part of human society. Like other people I have a family too. In my family there are five members. Every member of my family is helpful for me. The member of my family is my father, my mother, my elder brother, me and my younger sister. There are two earning member in family my father and my elder brother. My father is a businessman. He retired from BIWTA 3 years ago. He was a diploma engineer. Now he is doing business with his office colleague. My mother is a housewife. My elder brother is a BSC engineer. He works in Metro Telecom. He works as a RF Engineer. My younger sister is a student of a school. I am a student of University of Dhaka. Because I am the only person in my family who have to do all the family work like as paying bill, shopping and other stuff. My father and elder brother busy with their work. So I have to do my family work. For this reason I have to go many public organizations such as Bank, City Corporation, Police Station and Hospital etc. Before integrating relationship we have to know about public administration. Public administration means not only government action it also means use of managerial, political, legal theories and process to fulfill legislative, executive and judicial mandates for the provision of government regulatory and service

function. Public administration cannot be defined in one word. If I want to relate family with public administration then I have to describe about public organization. Public organization or public sectors organization represent the administrative picture of a country. Public organizations always relates with public administration. Every single family of a country must have good or bad relation with public organization. In here relation means experience. Public organization always works for public. Public organization is non-profit organization. Public organization provides public services to the public. Public service is a service which is provided by government to people living within its jurisdiction, either directly (through the public sector) or by financing private provision of services. The term is associated with a social consensus that certain services should be available to all, regardless of income. Even where public services are neither publicly provided nor publicly financed, for social and political reasons they are usually subject to regulation going beyond that applying to most economic sectors. So we can say that Public administration of a country is more effective if public organization give their services to their people. Public services tend to be those considered to be so essential to modern life that for moral reasons their universal provision should be guaranteed. There different types of public sector in a country. Such as Electricity Education Environmental protection Fire service Gas

 Health care Law enforcement Military Public broadcasting Public library Public security Public transportation Public housing Social services Telecommunications Town planning Waste management Water supply network

These are the common public sector which provides public services to people. Because of these types of public sector organizations people make good or bad relation with people. So every family of a country has a relationship with public organization. So we can say that public administration is also linked with family. A man who born in a family he or she must have a birth certificate .If we want a birth certificate we have to go the public organization such as city corporation. If a family wants to buy a house they have to go to the city planning organization such as RAJUK. So every sphere of mans life related with public organization. Public organizations work means administrative work which also relate with family. Public administration is relates with family but it is not openly related. Public administration relates with family through public organization.so after all we can say that public administration has relation with family.

My family has many experiences with different types of public organization. So I have to face different types of experience. As a member of a family I have to handle many duties for my family. Experience of public organization is now creates a relation between public administration and my family. In Bangladesh public administration is not as usual as other country. Bangladesh administration is politically biased. Public organizations do not remain free from politics. So if public organization politically biased then public services of public organization could not provide services to the public. As a people of Bangladesh I have to face many unexpected experience from different types of public organization. Here I described about two experience of my life :

Scenario 1 :
One of my experiences, when I have gone bank for collect my admission form for public university. I went to bank. There was a huge line for collect admission form. People were waiting there like a couple of hours. Before opening bank people was in the line. After open a bank everybody getting prepare for collect the form. About two hours I am in the line but did not enter in the bank. After two and half an hour I was just enter into bank. When I enter there I saw there was only one line. One cashier who receive cash and giving form to the people. Other cashier just work for their bank work. But there were many cashier who have just passing lazy time.so this is the experience of collecting from. After facing many troubles I had just finally got my admission from. Then I went outside and fill up my form. Now I have to give them my filled up form. But did not found where I could give back my form and collect bank seal on my form. First I asked one person of bank he show me a table. But there were no one in the table .Then I went to that table .The man who works in that table he went outside. He did not

care for collecting form because it is a pubic bank. After half an hour he came. But I saw he did not care for his work. First he collected my form but did not find bank seal. He went other desk for bank seal. He said he was not paid for this work so he is not concern for this work. Lastly I have finish my work.

Recommendation:
If bank have more cashier for collect form then the line was not went long. Public bank worker must paid for their extra work .if they were paid I would not fall for such trouble. Manager must monitor the work of bank people. If he monitor Once in a week then every working people of bank do their work correctly & seriously.

Scenario 2
I have other experience when I went to collect my younger sister birth certificate in my regional city corporation office.it is not far from my house. When I went there I collect a form of birth certificate. I have to pay for form. But as far as I know it is free for everyone. After collect that form I came home and fill up my form. Then next day I went to the office. I give them my form. But when I was giving my form the man told me to give him 300 tk. also. I became astonished why should I gave him 300 tk. As per Govt. decision, the applicant age is more than 18 (eighteen) years then he/she should pay 50/-(fifty) taka otherwise it is free. My younger sister was not 18 years old. He asked for bribe amount of 300. If I did not gave him that amount of money he did not gave birth certificate before one year. I was just become astonished. I need my younger sister certificate for admitting

school. I need that certificate in one week .He told me that if I gave him 300 tk. he can do the work in 3 day. For that reason, I have to give him 300 tk. after having money he told me to come after 3day. I went there and collect birth certificate. In this way Public organization take bribe from people.

Recommendation:
Government must monitor work of City Corporation. So people can get their work done easily. Government must take effective steps for stop this corruption in City Corporation. Salary of City Corporation worker must be increased. Because of low salary they do this kind of crime. People of must inform police about the corruption.

After all, we can say that administration of our country is facing many problems. So Administrators could not give proper services to the people. So in this way family could not get proper feedback from country or administration. So relationship between family and public administration will be well if Public organization gave people proper services and if people get satisfied.
