B. Unlocking of Difficulties Title: Bloody Word Bank Direction: Below are statements that correspond to unfamiliar words. The teacher will call five volunteers, each student will pick a word from the Bloody Word Bank

and will donate the chosen word to one of the statement that is compatible to its meaning. It is only for 5 minutes. 1. agglutination clumping of the blood. 2. alleles 3. antibody 4. antigen5. genes

C. Motivation Strategy: Asking Questions Guide Questions: 1. Have you ever experienced donating/receiving blood? 2. What is your Blood Type? 3. Do you know how to determine a Blood Type?

D. Lesson Proper

Activity Let it Clump! Materials: Hot milk Vinegar Food Color (Red) A B Water 3 Test Tubes

Antibody A Procedure:

Antibody B

1. Put water on test tube A and C. Test tube A will represent Antibody A while test tube B will represent Rh Antibody. 2. Put hot milk on test tube B as a representation of Antibody B. 3. Place the mixture of vinegar and food color on each test tubes. 4. Observe what happens.

E. Valuing/Application Guide Questions: 1. What is the importance of knowing the Multiple Allele? 2. What do you think will happen if agglutination in our blood happens?

F. Generalization Title: Blood Supply Direction: Below is an incomplete Table of The ABO Blood Groups. Based on the information given, determine its blood type by means of supplying it on the space provided below.
