GENERAL

1.1.

Scope This specification sets out the minimum requirements and the inspection plans for the supply of synchronous electric machines. Any other additional information not covered by this specification will be specified in the applicable normative references and publications and in the project technical documentation, particularly: Data Sheet Inspection Data Sheets (I.D.S.) Request Technical Documentation Data Sheet (R.D.D.S.) The technical requirements of this Functional Specification are based upon considerations of performances and functionality, therefore the instructions contained in this Documentation are not meant to be discriminatory. Any alternative suggestion will be considered, provided that the compliance with what required in this document is satisfied both from functional and performance points of view.

1.2.

Normative References The Normative References and Publications that entirely define the synchronous electric machines are herewith listed. When applicable, references will be made to the European Normative References EN and the Harmonisation Documents CENELEC or, in their absence, to the CEI/CEI UNEL Normative References and IEC Publications. In any case the plants shall comply with the rules and regulations issued by the Local Authorities and Organisations under which jurisdiction they are installed.

2.

FUNCTIONAL NORMATIVE REQUIREMENTS

2.1.

Definitions Reference to the Normative References from paragraph 1.2 will be made for definitions and terminology. The following are also defined :

2.1.1.

Prototype machine This is a machine : whose rated data, performance and construction characteristics are the same within the tolerances permitted as those of machines involved in the supply ; which is part of the supply, or, which is not part of the supply but has been constructed using the same fabrication methods as those for machines included in the supply; which has satisfactorily passed the type test.

2.1.2.

Mass-produced machine This is a machine which is part of a series of machines built using the same manufacturing methods, which has undergone the Supplier's standard tests and which: provides a prototype; has rated data, performance and construction characteristics equal to those of the other mass-produced machines within the tolerances permitted; this data is included in a catalogue or leaflet published by the Supplier.

2.1.3.

Similar machine This is a machine whose rated data, performance and construction characteristics differ only partially from those of other machines of which there is a prototype.

2.2.

Symbols and abbreviations Reference will be made to the Normative References in paragraph 1.2. for symbols and abbreviations.

2.3.

Operating Environment The environmental conditions of the installation site shall be defined in the Data Sheet. Unless otherwise stated, the machines shall be suitable for operation with a maximum air temperature of 40C and at an altitude of installation up to 1000 m L.A.T. If not otherwise specified, when H 2S is present in the atmosphere, the following concentrations shall be used : 0.10 ppm of H2S continuously ; 5 ppm of H2S and 2 ppm of SO2 occasionally for brief periods. The Supplier shall employ suitable protective devices and prove their effectiveness with appropriate components test certificates.

2.4. 2.4.1.

Functional Requirements Service and rated characteristics If not otherwise indicated, the machines and the relative accessories shall be suitable for continuous service, S1 and the allocated class for the rated characteristics shall be of the " CONTINUOUS MAXIMUM" type (complying with the CENELEC HD 53. 1. S2). The admitted tolerances for the rated characteristics shall abide by the limits specified in the CENELEC HD 53. 1. S2.

2.4.2.

Operating Conditions a) Within the combined variations of 2% of the rated frequency and 5% of the rated voltage, the synchronous machines shall ensure that their performances shall be as indicated in the Harmonisation Document CENELEC HD 53.1.S2Modification 3. In the case of continuous operations at the voltage limit values indicated above, the temperature limits could be exceeded as indicated on the Normative References. b) The machines shall be able to withstand the speeds specified in the Harmonisation Document CENELEC HD 53.1.S2. Unless otherwise specified, the synchronous three-phase machines shall be able to operate permanently on a not symmetrical voltage system as specified in the Harmonisation Document HD 53.1.S2.

2.4.3. 2.4.3.1.

Construction characteristics General As far as possible, the machines shall have dimensions and rated powers standardised according to the CEI/UNEL Normative References.

2.4.3.2.

2.4.3.3.

Windings The windings shall be made of electrolytic copper. The insulating materials, in accordance to their appraisal and thermal stability, shall be classified complying with the Harmonisation Document CENELEC HD.53 1 S2, as follows: machines with a voltage of up to 1000 V shall either belong to the B or the F class with over-temperatures of the respective class; machines with a voltage of more than 1000 V shall either belong to the B or the F class with over-temperatures of class B. The connection of the statoric winding of machines shall be of the STAR type. Unless otherwise indicated, machines with voltages up to 1000V shall be provided with four terminals ( accessible neutral ), while those for voltage over 1000 V shall be provided with 6 terminals. The arrangement for these last machines shall be agreed upon by the Supplier and Company.

2.4.3.4.

Terminals Terminals for connecting conductors shall be anti-loosening type. For motors having a voltage over 1000 V the bushings shall not be made of porcelain. The bushings, terminals, anchors and appropriate accessories shall be constructed in such a way as to withstand, without damage, thermal and dynamic short-circuit stresses specified in the Data Sheet. Inside the boxes, spacer anchors shall be provided for conductors and cable clamps.

The marking of the exit terminals shall be carried out as described in the Harmonisation Document CENELEC HD 53. 8 S2. 2.4.3.5. Terminal boxes a) Separate boxes shall be provided for the connection of: power, star centre, anti-condensation resistance, thermal detectors, alarm, shut-down, signalling devices installed on the machine or in the auxiliaries shipped assembled and/or not assembled to the motor.

b)

When required, the boxes for the star centre terminals shall also be able to contain the CT for protection devices. The boxes for power terminals shall be designed for the inlet of cables at the bottom, unless otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet. In all machines, the terminal board for connection of power cables, when foreseen laterally, shall be installed on the right side looking at the motor from the coupling side. The terminal board of star centre may also be installed on the opposite side. Inside all boards, both auxiliary and power type, an earthing terminal or bolt for the connection of armouring, metallic shields and cable protection conductors (PE) shall be installed, as indicated in the Harmonisation Document CENELEC HD 53.1. S2.

2.4.3.6.

Rotor and fans The rotor shall be dynamically balanced and complete with fans. The material used for balancing shall not be lead or any other soft material.

2.4.3.7.

Cooling system If not otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet, the machines shall be air-air selfventilated. The machines with air-water heat exchangers, shall have specific exchangers suitable for the water characteristics indicated in the Data Sheet; lacking information, the following characteristics shall be assumed: design pressure inlet temperature head losses thermal head : : : : 500 kPa (5 kg/cm2) 25C 70 kPa (0.7 kg/cm2) 10C

The cooling system must guarantee the normal operations of the machine without exceeding the maximum allowable temperature rises indicated in the Harmonisation Document CENELEC HD 53. 1. S2 in function of the insulating class of the windings. 2.4.3.8. Bearings and lubricating system The bearings shall be defined by the Supplier on the basis of involved forces, speeds, operating conditions, fabrication standards and the prescriptions listed below: a) Bearings shall have a nominal life (or theoretical duration) L10 (UNI 281/I , ISO 281) calculated with the machine operating under rated conditions of at least : 30000 hours in the case of direct coupling and without any axial thrust from the coupled machine; 20000 hours in the case of belt coupling. b) Bearings requiring periodic replacement of the lubricant shall be fitted with a greasing point and a grease relief device. The lubricating interval shall be indicated in the Data Sheets. The forced lubrication sleeve bearings shall generally have a common lubricating system to the machine which they are part of. If the driven machine has no forced lubrication system or such a system cannot be used for the electrical machine, the Supplier of the electrical machine shall deal with the definition and supply of the lubricating system on the basis of the operating requirements and provisions given in the Data Sheet. The design of the lubricating system shall be approved by the Company. It shall be possible to carry out the topping up of oil baths and greasing, as appropriate, safely whilst the machine is in operation.

2.4.3.9.

Vibrations If not otherwise stated in the Data Sheet, the vibrations of motors with a shaft height of up to 400 mm shall be kept within limits specified in the CEI 2-23 or IEC 34-14 Rule.

Vibrations of machines with a shaft height exceeding 400 mm shall be kept within the limits specified for class "B", groups 3 and 4 of ISO 2372 Rule or the "satisfactory" class of the ISO 3945 Rule. Unless otherwise specified, base plates shall be considered rigid. 2.4.3.10. Excitation system The excitation system shall generally be of the brushless rotating diode type. Static-type solution with SCR or with a magnetic amplifier shall also be accepted as long as they are provided with a compensation circuit. The rated characteristics and the excitation performance shall be defined by the Supplier according to the operating and service conditions of the machines; in all the installations the performances shall not drop below the following values: a) Excitation margin The machines, with rated velocity and peak temperature, shall be able to supply, for a short period, at the rated voltage, a current equal to 125% of the rated one with rated power factor. b) Maximum voltage ( or highest voltage limit of the excitation source Up ): It shall not be lower than 140% of the rated voltage of excitation for at least 10 s . c) Speed of initial response to the excitation: It shall not be lower than 0.5 sec -1. The brushless excitation systems shall be produced in such a way as to not require pre-excitation by direct current external sources. 2.4.3.11. Coupling The motors shall be suitable for the coupling type defined in the Data Sheet. 2.4.3.12. Accessories and auxiliaries a) Excitation and control switchboard All the control, protection, signalling equipment relevant to the excitation and regulation system of voltage shall be installed in a closed switchboard, subdivided into compartments and/or sections of compartments. Unless otherwise indicated, the switchboard shall be suitable for indoor installation, with cables entering from the bottom and with a protection degree not below IP3X. The switchboard shall be provided with bottom removable plates with rubber conduits or cable glands for the entering cables. All circuits shall end up in appropriate terminal boxes suitable for the cable connections. It shall be possible to short-circuit and isolate the terminals of ammeter circuits. These terminals shall be provided with sockets for portable instruments.

The terminals of voltmeter circuits shall be of the isolated type. Spare terminals shall be provided for in the boards for external connections in the quantity of at least 10% of isolated terminals, 10% of short-circuited terminals and 10% of normal terminals, with a minimum of 1 for each type. An earth protection bar (PE) shall be supplied at the basis of the switchboard and for its whole length, to which the protective conductors and the earthing systems of the switchboard structure shall end up. All equipment and instruments installed in the switchboard shall be identified by a proper nameplate, as indicated in the construction drawings. The identification and the nameplates of wiring conductors and of relevant terminals shall meet the Normative References and the IEC Publication 391 or the CEI 16-1 Rule. Unless otherwise indicated time after time or in the Normative References, for push-buttons, manipulators and signalling lamps, the colours indicated in the EN 60073 Rule shall be used. The instruments and the equipment shall be grouped in a rational way for easy control, reading, inspection and disassembly operations. The switchboard shall be provided with anti-condensation resistance driven by one or more thermostats. b) Relay switchboard The relay switchboard shall be provided only when required in the Data Sheet. It shall be suitable for installation near the excitation and control switchboard covered by a) or it shall be built-in type. In any case , the same criteria and construction characteristics shall be adopted. The protection relays and switchboard in its entirely shall be installed so as to allow an easy execution of the following operations with the machine in operation: replacement of each single protection relay ; operation tests and check of calibration for each single protection relay. All protection relays shall be provided with optical indicators to be reset from the relay front. The auxiliary relays shall be of the status indication type (excited or not) visible from outside. The final relay of each protection unit shall have separate switch contacts for each of the following functions: control shutdown; machine switch shutdown; primary motor shutdown (for generators only); remote alarm.

All protection relays shall be radio-frequency insensitive.

c)

Control, alarm, shutdown devices The machines shall be supplied with all the controls, alarms and shutdown devices indicated in the Data Sheet and with those considered necessary by the Supplier, including cooling and lubrication systems.

d)

Voltage dischargers The voltage dischargers shall be supplied when indicated in the Data Sheet. They shall comply with the CEI 37/1 Rule or the IEC 99/1 Publication with discharge rated current of 1 kA and suitable for protection of rotating machines against operation over-voltages. The dischargers shall be provided with discharge meter and, unless otherwise stated, they shall be installed in an appropriate enclosure with protection degree not below IP34 and equipped with necessary cable glands for electrical connections.

e)

Measurement transformers The current transformers installed on the machine shall be air type, with a toroidal core when possible and suitable for operation all over the range of temperatures foreseen in the point of installation. The current and voltage transformers (usually supplied separately) to be installed on the power switchboard shall be resin type, able to operate with a temperature of 10 K over the maximum ambient air temperature indicated in the Data Sheet.

f)

Thermal protection devices The thermal protection devices, when requested in the Data Sheet, shall comply with the IEC 34-11, 34-11-2 and 34-11-3 Publications. In any case the Supplier shall install those which are thought to be necessary for the correct use and protection of the motors, even if not requested. The thermal detectors for temperature control of windings, stator group, and bearings, shall be of platinum, 100 C, temperature coefficient (alpha) = 3.85 x 10-3. Unless otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet they shall be three-wire, "simple" type, insulated for a test voltage at a test frequency not below 1500 V. The thermal detectors shall end up in an appropriate station suitable to perform the following: measurement of the temperature detected by each element; high temperature remote alarm for each measurement point. The station shall be installed on the excitation and control switchboards. If the generators are supplied together with the driver, the station may be integrated with the driver's one.

g)

Anti-condensation and heating resistance Anti-condensation resistance: The resistance shall be of the armoured type.

A data nameplate located in a very visible position near the heater terminal box shall bear the relative nominal data. Anti-condensation heaters shall be sized and located so as to prevent the formation of condensation during machine shutdown periods. It shall be possible for the heaters to remain permanently in circuit when a motor is shut without causing damage to the windings. For machines to be installed in hazardous atmosphere areas, the relevant Codes shall be applied. Heating resistance The oil heating resistances shall be provided only when the Supplier considers it necessary and in accordance with the minimum ambient temperature. The surface temperature of the resistances shall not alter the characteristics of the oil itself, and the maximum temperature shall not exceed 80C. The Supplier of the lubricating system shall provide all equipment necessary for the automatic monitoring of these heaters, which shall be suitable for the installation site. h) Nameplates The identification nameplates of the machines and those carrying the electrical and construction data, as indicated on the Harmonisation Document CENELEC HD 53.1.S2, shall be made of stainless steel (AISI 316L) with wording engraved. The nameplates shall be fixed to the equipment by means of stainless steel (AISI 316L) pins. For design environmental temperatures exceeding the standard ones indicated in the Normative References, the nominal data referred to these temperatures shall be indicated on the nameplates. 2.4.3.13. Installation accessories and tools The Supplier of the equipment shall provide: bolts and accessories for fixing to the base plate (if specified); bolts or clamps or plates for fixing the motor or its base plate to the foundations; for each machine or group of machines any special tools required for its assembly.

2.4.5. 2.4.5.1.

Additional requirements for synchronous generators Rated power If not otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet, the rated power shall be the apparent electrical power ( kVA ) to the generator terminals with a power factor value of 0.8 delay (in over-excitation).

2.4.5.2.

Over-load If not otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet, the generator shall be able to withstand the following discontinuous over-loads starting from the peak values, without overheating which would endanger the life of the machine. 10% for the duration of 1 hour 15% for the duration of 10 minutes 30% for the duration of 4 minutes 50% for the duration of 2 minutes

2.4.5.3.

Cooling The generators designed for continuous operations (S1), close cycle cooled through air-water exchangers, could also operate open cycles with 60% of the rated load. The passage between close cycle and open cycle must be obtained while the machine is operating.

2.4.5.4.

Windings The windings shall be insulated and sized to correctly operate with the earthing system of the envisaged neutral; in particular they shall withstand, apart from a check made time by time based on the failure curve of the machine, the following earthing fault conditions of the machine without faults and premature ageing: a) Systems with insulated neutral: Operation with an earthing phase for short period in case of infrequent failures; the minimum accepted value shall be 8 consecutive hours and a total of 100 hours/per year; Systems with neutral earthed through a low value resistance: Operation in case of infrequent failures with earthed failure current equal to 20% In for 10 seconds; Systems with neutral earthed through a high value resistance: 50 A for 10 minutes; Systems with solidly earthed neutral: The maximum design failure current for 2 seconds;

2.4.5.5.

Operation in parallel When required, the operation in parallel shall be stable under all the operating and temporary conditions indicated in the Data Sheet. The generators required for the operation in parallel with other machines and/or with the external network shall be provided with dumping cage.

2.4.5.6.

Single phase operations If not otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet, a single phase continuous power service equal to approx. 60% of the three-phase service shall be applied to the small generators with a voltage lower than 1000 V.

2.4.5.7.

Short-circuit ratio The short-circuit ratio referred to rated voltage and under saturated conditions shall be indicated in the Data Sheet on the basis of the operation characteristics envisaged.

2.4.5.8.

Excitation and control system The excitation system shall be designed both for automatic and manual operations. The generators required for the operation in parallel with other machines and/or with the external network shall be provided with switching device for the switch from automatic to manual control with the machine in operation, keeping temporary phenomena within negligible values. If required, for temporary phenomena and in case of remote controls, an automatic cracking device shall be provided. Such a device shall always be supplied for machines with capacity over 10 MVA. The excitation system shall be provided with a support device (pilot generator with permanent magnets or feeding CT) which, if not otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet, in case of short-circuit, keeps a failure current for a period equivalent to at least twice the rated current and for a period of time not below 1.5 seconds. If the short-circuit is eliminated within this time period, the generator shall be able to assume instantaneously a load equivalent to at least 70% of the rated one. The voltage controller shall have an accuracy under static conditions of 1% of the rated voltage, under any loading conditions. In case of parallel operation, the system for subdivision of reactive power with the other generators and/or the external network shall be included. Several generators with the same power and/or with the same excitation system in parallel with each other, also designed for running separate from the external network, shall be equipped with differential distribution devices and an automatic device for the passage to the reactive drop compensation and vice versa, driven by a logic of circuitbreakers so that the control system receives differential/single transformations.

2.4.5.9.

Centralised control and supervision The generators and relevant auxiliaries shall be designed for control and local or distanced supervision according to the indication in the Data Sheet.

2.4.5.10.

Unbalanced loads The generators shall be defined for continuous operation with unbalanced loads up to the limits defined in the Normative References and, however, not lower than: for salient pole generators : for smooth rotor generators (turbo-alternators) : 12% 8%

2.4.5.11.

Auxiliary devices and equipment When required, the CT for ammeter and watt meter protections, CT for the support of failure currents, if any, together with the CT of differential protection shall be installed on the star-centre side. When required, the parallel automatic device shall be provided with a frequency and voltage equaliser and with adjustable timer to take into account the closing time of the parallel circuit breaker. Usually it shall be installed on the control and excitation switchboard. The automatic device shall provide for each parallel circuit-breaker the following possibilities: only manual parallel; automatic parallel; automatic parallel test (control of voltage and frequency but inhibition for the switch off instruction of the circuit breaker); exclusion of the devices for automatic and manual parallel. Appropriate interlocks will avoid the contemporary operations of several circuitbreakers. When the parallel device is supplied separately, it shall be complete with the following: auxiliary relays for outlet controls; insulation transformers for voltage and frequency signals; auxiliary devices for the control of the driver's variators and of the alternator's excitation.

2.4.6. 2.4.6.1.

Additional requirements for synchronous motors Start-up conditions Unless otherwise specified, the start-up for machines shall be full voltage direct type. During start-up the voltage to terminals shall not exceed 85% of the rated voltage.

2.4.6.2.

Data of the driven machine a) Stall torque The stall torque of the driven machine shall be defined case by case. Lacking any indication, a stall torque proportional to the square of the speed and equal to the nominal torque at the rated speed shall be assumed. b) Moment of inertia The moment of inertia of the driven machine shall be specified in the Data Sheet. In the case of machines coupled to reciprocating compressors or pumps etc., which require a variable torque ( mechanical irregularity ), the moment of inertia of the coupled machine group shall be checked to ensure that it can limit the line current pulsation to values not exceeding 66% of the rated current. If the need to add an inertial mass arises, this shall be indicated by the Supplier of the electrical machine to the Company. The final technical solution shall be agreed between the Company, the Supplier of the machine and the Supplier of the coupled machine.

2.4.6.3.

Excitation and control system The excitation system shall be provided with devices, of the self-trigging type if possible, which during asynchronous operation (start-up and/or pitch loss) shall carry out the following functions: to limit over-voltages induced in the local circuits to non-hazardous values for rotor circuits and for diodes; to prevent the passage of DC. in local circuits. The following types of excitation control shall be provided to machines with fixed speed, fed by the industrial frequency network: a) b) uncontrolled constant excitation with unitary power factor at rated voltage; automatic control excitation to ensure a constant power factor for any loading conditions; automatic control excitation to ensure, at constant network voltage, a constant absorbed or supplied reactive power for any loading conditions.

The type of control to be used shall be defined in the Data Sheet. Failing any indication, method b) shall be adopted. The set point of the machines with automatic control of excitation shall be adjustable for the whole range of foreseen operations. 2.4.6.4. Performances

Rated power Unless otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet, the machines with automatic control of excitation shall supply the rated power for all power factor values included between 0.9 in delay and 0.9 in advance.

Start-up performances The start-up torque at 85% of the rated voltage shall be suitable to accelerate the machine operating in the most severe conditions specified in the Data Sheet. The accelerating torque shall not be less than 10% of the motor's nominal torque. The start-up current at full voltage shall be limited to the following values: 550% In for fast machines ( 2 poles) of any power and for slower machines up to 2500 kW; 450% In for machines of 4 or more poles, over 2500 kW. Unless otherwise specified, the machines shall allow the following number of start-ups: N.3 uniformly distributed starting from ambient temperature; N.2 consecutive, plus 1 after 30 minutes starting from the peak temperature. In the case of loads with moments of inertia which are especially high, the startup performances shall be agreed upon case by case.

2.4.6.5.

Special performances The motors shall provide the following special performances without shutdowns and/or considerable reductions of the average life: a) For single motors directly fed by the industrial frequency network, temporary drop of feeding voltage of 15% of the rated value for at least 10 seconds; return to synchronisation after pitch drop due to temporary overload; allow synchronisation also in the presence of hunting torque (i.e. start-up of slow machine and with high moment of inertia and low resistant torque); instantaneous drop and/or return of the rated load.

Additional requirements for motors with variable speed fed by frequency converters Rated power The rated capacity of the motors shall take into account of the major losses due to the current harmonics; in any case the rated power to the current and voltage conditions defined in the Harmonisation Document CENELEC HD 53.1.S2- modification 3 shall be at least 110 % of the required power at the operating conditions defined in the Data Sheets.

2.4.7.2.

Damping cage All motors shall be provided with damping cage, if possible of the closed type in interpole zones.

2.5. 2.5.1.

Boundary conditions, limits and exclusions Limits and exclusions Possible limits, exclusions and particular prescriptions shall be indicated in the Data Sheet.

2.6.

Ergonomics If not otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet, the noise levels shall not exceed the values indicated on the IEC 34-9 Publications or the CEI 2-24 Rule, even for machines with a power over 400 kW.

2.7. 2.7.1.

Safety General prescriptions The Supplier will guarantee that the synchronous electrical motors, of which this Specification is about, will be designed adopting good practice to respect the safety prescriptions contained in the Normative References.

2.7.2.

Protection against indirect contacts The motors shall be provided with internal and external earthing bolts as required in the Normative References.

2.8.

Requirements for Quality Management and Assurance Any additional requirements of Quality Management and/or Quality Assurance are contained in the relevant management specification enclosed in the request for bid.

2.9.

Additional Requirements for Review When required, they will be indicated in the Inspection Data Sheet (I.D.S.) and are subdivided in: Type test; Acceptance test (individual); Special test. For any inspection and test not included in the normative references and in this Specification and requested in the Inspection Data Sheet (I.D.S), the execution procedures shall be defined on a case by case basis.

2.9.1.

Type test The type test aims at guaranteeing the compliance of a specific type of machine with the Normative References and the original design. The type test shall be carried out on a prototype of the machine and the Supplier shall be fully responsible for its execution. The Company shall be exclusively responsible for the acceptance of machines that are similar to those supplied as prototypes and shall reserve the right to request the execution of some of the type tests. The type tests of the auxiliaries and accessories are not required if they comply with the Normative References and are installed according to the Constructor's instructions. The Supplier of the transformers will check that the type tests of the auxiliaries and accessories have been carried out and that the relevant documentation is produced.

2.9.2.

Acceptance test (individual) The acceptance test aims at guaranteeing, by verification of documents and execution of a limited but important number of inspections and tests, the compliance of machines with the original design and prototype as well as with the Company's requirements, and to detect any faults in materials and fabrication. The acceptance test (individual) shall be carried out on all machines of the supply, assisted by the Supplier. For the acceptance tests of the auxiliaries and accessories, the considerations listed above for the type tests shall apply, without prejudice to the fact that they shall withstand the inspection and tests described in the Inspection Data Sheet (I.D.S).

2.9.3.

Special Test It includes tests and inspections not provided for in the type and acceptance tests, that the Company may require from time to time. The list of tests and inspections and any criteria of execution will be indicated in the Inspection Data Sheet (I.D.S.).

2.10.

Documentation The Supplier will deliver to the Company all the documents indicated in the Requested Document Data Sheet (R.D.D.S.), in accordance with the agreed terms and schedule. The technical documentation will be written in the official language indicated in the Data Sheet and using the symbols indicated in the CENELEC, CEI Rules and in IEC Publications.

2.10.1.

Bid Documentation The Supplier will include in his bid all the information and documentation required in the Data Sheet (R.D.D.S.).

2.10.2.

Documents Subjected to Approval The approval of the documentation by the Company, if necessary, will refer to the formal verification of the parameters indicated in the design's documents only.

2.10.3.

Documentation used by the Company for the system design The Supplier will deliver to the Company all the documentation necessary to the execution of the system design and to the installation of the supplied system.

2.10.4.

Test Documents The Supplier will deliver to the Company, within the schedule and in the way indicated in the Data Sheet, all the certificates relating to the type, acceptance and special tests.

2.10.5.

Final Technical Documentation The final technical documentation, with the only exception of the Supplier and Subsuppliers catalogues and publications will include the following references: name of the Supplier; name of the Company; details of the Company's orders; identification tag of the machines, as indicated by the Company; title of the document.

The description and drawings can be contained in catalogues and documents of the Supplier, as long as they satisfy the following conditions: they contain all data and information required in their final form they are relevant to the type supplied and the materials included in the supply are clearly identified amongst those in the document. The documentation subject to approval will be integral part of the final documentation approved by the Company.
