Resident Friend Sought Friends Meeting at Cambridge (MA) seeks a gifted Friend (or couple to share position) to serve in residence for 36 years. Through an extensive discernment process, our large (400 members, 150+ at worship), unprogrammed urban Meeting finds that we are a thriving, vibrant spiritual community, yet we wish to improve our ability to attract and integrate young people and young families, welcome a greater diversity of class and race, and be an institution in which one could count on effective task completion and thorough communication. The newly revisioned, full-time position of Resident Friend will be responsible for caring about and facilitating the functioning of the whole Meeting. With input from appropriate committees and individuals, the Resident Friend will supervise 7-10 staff members (5 FTE), and, with appropriate consultation, will also exercise significant oversight and coordination of communication, pastoral care, spiritual education, outreach, and other programmatic activities.
