The Tantric Vampire & BDSM connection

It was recently revealed that somewhere around 45% of all persons identifying
themselves as a real vampire also participate in the BDSM community from one degree
or another. This is not altogether surprising when you take the mindset of the real
vampire into consideration. Tantric vampires in general tend to have a domineering
personality to begin with, couple that with the sexual leanings they have as well and the
appeal of the lifestyle becomes evident. Real vampires find their needed energy in all
forms available, but most tantric vampires insist that sexual energy when present is a
most tasty treat indeed. Again it is not surprising then that vampires in general and
tantric vampires in particular seek out that particular flavor of energy.
Real vampires are prone to keep their natures in the shadows. And with frequent
and regular donors it is a practice that is not hard to do. The tantric vampire must often
use charm, poise, dominance and yes in some cases manipulation in order to feed off the
necessary energy they crave. These means to an end have not won us many friends both
outside as well as inside the vampire community as a whole. The problem I feel lies in
the choice of energy we in some cases are forced to use. Our society and community for
the most part still view tantra as all about the sex. The truth is nothing could be further
from it. See tantric vampires also tend to stick with a single donor. We don't cruise the
local bars looking for a one night stand. I'm sure there are those out there that do it, but
for the fear of disease most steer clear of that.
Another misunderstood aspect of tantric vampires is the little relevance we place
on the actual intercourse itself. It is often the build up of the lust and desire that fills us
with life, intercourse is just a means to release that energy into one or the other. When
this exchange occurs between two tantric vampires the result is true magick. Which is
only fitting since tantra in and of itself is somewhat magickal when practiced. With a
tantras disposition towards sexual energy along with a real vampire's natural
commanding presence. BDSM becomes an intriguing and often rewarding activity. After
all the idea of pleasure through pain is not such a foreign concept to a real vampire. In
fact I would not be surprised to discover that we coined it.
When tantric vampires enter the world of master/mistress and slave, simple
actions take on an entirely new meaning. Every command carries power, carries energy,
and at times that energy can flood the tantric vampire with raw emotional control and a
desire to see that command carried out. A lot of what vampires do within the confines of
a scene can only be viewed as mystical in what is achieved. Every touch tingles with a
charge of excitement. With every stroke of the hair comes reassurance that all will be
fine. A gentle bite upon the shoulder reminds the other of who and what they are. It is
during this moment that a kiss becomes a taste of things to come. That taste is the key to
the mystery of tantric vampires that combine themselves to become two identical pieces
of the same moment. Are building the energy till it becomes simply one soul or the
combing of energies.
It is at that point where the sound of flesh upon paddle summons the feelings of
lust. Every knot that is tied becomes a binding on that energy. With the swing of a flog
and the sound of leather upon skin both vampires feel the intencity of the current surging
through their bodies. This is all designed to bring forth the energy of emotions in order
to take them to a new plateau of pleasure. Once these emotions of lust, love, need,
desire, and anticipation come to a boiling point, an apex if you will. This is when

As a member of both the on line and off line vampire community and the D/s
BDSM sub-culture I am often asked to keep my true nature in the shadows, I yearn for
the day when I can be openly true to myself in front of those I care for. I guess one
might say that both provide solace from the struggles the other faces. But I simply view
them as two pieces that are a big part of who and what I am. The real vampire in me
knows hunger, the master in me knows how to provide for that hunger. A tantric vampire
and one who is a master as well has discovered ways in which to use the life style as an
en devour they enjoy undertaking. For it is an unselfish act that brings, comfort,
belonging, pleasure, and even pain. Yet when used by a kind and steady hand of a tantric
vampire it becomes so much more. It becomes our source for life.
So as a tantric vampire, of course the knowledge that almost half of the
community was associated with the D/s BDSM lifestyle was not an unexpected pole
number. Truth is I would have thought the number would have been higher. Being a
tantric vampire means more than just sex to us. It is an occurrence that begins a
wonderful ritual of feeding. Should D/s BDSM become a part of that ritual then the
