Prancer.com Vs. Rudolph.com

Dear Mrs. Claus, As your investment counselor, it is my responsibility to send you the latest updates in the stock market. One day, I know, you will retire from your amazing job in the Pole, and I want to make sure that youre having the best of the best investments, as to lead a long, happy retirement life. Recently, there have been reports of massive competitiveness between Prancer.com as well as Rudolph.com. These are the trending now websites, and studies show that this will continue to occur throughout times to come. Ill help explain to you on why, and how, we are able to determine this. We did some research, and created 2 equations to show how much money theyre each making. Rudolphs starting amount, or start-up fee for his company, was $12,000. Each of his advertisers on his website are paying $2.50 for each view, or, hits that the website has. From this, we derived an equation of P=2.50n-12,000. See a similarity in numbers? $12,000 is coming out of Rudolphs pocket, and that means that he has -$12000. On top of that, he makes $2.50 for each view, so that means that n in the equation is the number of hits, or, views. After multiplying and dividing several times, you come out with the answer, which will equal the profit, or, P, as represented in the equation.

After calculating one, it will be easy enough to find the other. When you look at the data from Prancer.com, you see that his start-up fee was only -$5,000, while his advertisers were paying $1.60 for each hit. So where $2.5 was in the previous equation, we now insert $1.6. Next to that would be n again, which represents the number of hits. A variable (a number represented by a letter) next to a number would be saying the same thing as multiplying them.

Now that you understand the concept of variables, you can really understand why theres a P and a n in the equation of both Prancer and Rudolph.com. As you did with 1.6 and 2.5, youll want to put -5,000 in the place of 12,000 in your equation. Now your equation for Prancer.com should look like this- P= 1.6n -5000. The P and the n are still there because they are factors of the equation, and they are not changing. Now that you have your equation, and youre ready to solve it. In this case, Pracer and Rudolph.com are both regularly getting 1,000 views per month. So, to use this in our equation, we put 1,000 in the place of n. Then you would multiply 2.5 or 1.6 times 1,000. After you multiply, subtract your product (the answer of a multiplication problem) by 5000 or 12000, but your final answer will all depend on which equation you plan to use- Prancers or Rudolphs. Usually, the answers will be completely different, for example, at 7000 views for Rudolphs website, youd be making $5,500 profit, but if you have 7000 views for Prancers website, then you would be making $6200 profit. At this point, in 7 months, you could be making either $6200 dollars or $5500. Which one sounds better? Right now, Prancer.com sure seems to be making more money, correct? At 7000 hits, its making $700 more than Rudolph! If youre looking to make money fast, then investing in Prancer.com for up to 7 months would be a quick and fast way to make money. Although when they both reach 7777.77 hits, then theyll both be making the same amount of money. After that, Rudolph.com will be making the most money. For example, when both websites are getting 9,000 views, Prancer.com is making $9,400, while Rudolph.com is making $10,500. Which one sounds better now? After walking you through most of the steps on how we figured out how to solve this, we can conclude that if you want to make money quickly, then Prancer.com is the investment for you, but you have to watch your timing. After roughly 7 months, Rudolph.com will start to make more money with every single hit. They both have their own dos and don'ts, although if you have timing, and can understand what I have shown you, then youre sure to live a happy
