Content Warm-up
Activity 1. Pupils are asked to talk about the stories that they have read. 2. A few pupils are selected to tell stories that they have read.

Talk about Pictures e.g. Who are the characters in the story? Where do you think the story took place? What do you think the story is about? Reading
1. The pupils look at the four pictures on Reference: the stimulus page. Textbook pg31 2. Pupils describe the pictures. 3. Teacher provides lead-in questions to help the pupils to talk about the pictures.
Step 2 10 Minutes
1. The pupils are told to read the story Reference: about an old farmer telling his three Textbook pg32 sons to look for hidden treasure. 2. Pupils are assigned in groups to role play the story, then they switch groups.

1. Teacher writes the storyline on the Reference: board while the pupils go through the Textbook pg32 Storyline: story again. Old farmer was dying. 2. Pupils answer the comprehension questions. He told his three lazy sons about the hidden 3. Teacher discusses answers with the pupils. treasure. The three sons dug the farm for months. They planted some paddy and the paddy grew. They realized that the treasure was the paddy. Formative Exercise 1. Pupils are given a worksheet. Appendix 1 2. Pupils fill in the blanks with the correct answer. 3. Teacher discusses answers with the pupils. Discussion 1. Pupils are asked about what they have learned from the stories. 2. Pupils talk about the moral values. 3. Teacher conclude the lesson.
