The season of Lent asks us to remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us. As we prepare to commemorate Holy Week, the parish is offering a viewing of Mel Gibsons film, The Passion of the Christ. From the Pastors Desk

Holy Week, which we begin today symbolizes a picture of our entire life. It includes the joyous and festive Hosanna, as well as, the painful Crucify Him that is echoed on Good Friday. Most importantly is that it concludes with the Resurrection. Palm Sunday reminds us that our entire life is like a procession: once with palm branches and at other times with the cross. It is very important that we include Christ in these processions. A procession signifies and symbolizes unity and love. Today, I pray that the life of our parish be a significant procession for the glory of God and the good of all of us. We accompany Jesus during His suffering to accomplish the work of salvation by participating in observances during Holy Week. All are invited to the observances on Holy Thursday at 7 PM. It is an important day since it is the day the sacraments of the Eucharist and Holy Orders were established by Jesus. It is also the Mass which joins our entire faith community together. Good Friday has this name since it is the day our salvation was accomplished. Through participation in the Way of the Cross on that day at 3:00 PM and through participating in the Adoration of the Cross at 3:00 PM we show our gratitude to Christ for His gift of salvation. Liturgy on Holy Saturday at 7:00pm will commemorate our own baptisms. All are also welcome to services on Easter Sunday, to be held according to the Sunday schedule.

Respect Life
Father, Grant that as we bring our needs before you, we may see You, your Son and the Holy Spirit in dwelling in our Souls as the source, purpose and goal of our lives more clearly, and receive your gifts of holiness. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
