We are pleased to announce the holding of the Cargo Transport 2014 on April 23, 2014 at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Sunset Pavilion Tent. Organized by the Philippine International Seafreight Forwarders Association and PortCalls, the one-day conference themed Removing Barriers in Cargo Transportation and Customs, will closely examine: Issues hampering the smooth flow of cargo transportation Alternative transport solutions to congested Manila New Customs processes in support of greater trade facilitation Cargo industry prospects amid the countrys economic growth A highlight of the summit will be a panel discussion to flesh out issues such as the recently implemented Manila truck ban as well as inconsistent and confusing government policies. At the end of the summit, various industry representatives will convene to draft a private sector declaration identifying solutions to industry concerns. The declaration will later be submitted to concerned government agencies for their action.
