Our Lady of Sorrows PSR: Parents
meetings for all PSR students who will be
receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation

25, at 10:00 a.m. in the PSR office for
families with last names A-K. On Sunday,
November 1, families with last names L-Z are
to attend. At least one parent is required to
attend this session and both parents are

Little Rock Scripture Study, a ministry of the
Diocese of Little Rock in Arkansas since
1974, is parish-based, affordable, and
designed to be used, coordinated and led by
lay people. It offers over thirty Old and New
Testament studies, some of which are also
available in Spanish.
You will have hands-on experience using the
format and materials of Little Rock Scripture
Study, and will also learn about Leadership
Training, a must for parishes about to get
started.
Staff members from Little Rock will present
the workshop, which is being sponsored by
the Office of Religious Education in
Birmingham. Pre-registration is required by
November 2, 2009. For more information

Cursillistas Invited to Grand Ultreya All
Cursillistas in the Diocese of Birmingham are
invited to the Grand Ultreya on
October 25 at the Cathedral of Saint Paul.
The 11: 00 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral will be
celebrated by Bishop Robert Baker, followed
by lunch ($10.00 donation). At the Ultreya,
Kevin Sutton will give the Witness Talk.

The Service Team of Magnificat invites all
the women of the diocese to the Fall
Magnificat Prayer Breakfast to be held on
Saturday, November 7, from 9:30 a.m. to
12:30 p.m. at St. Elias Maronite Rite Catholic
Church. The speaker will be Kathy Hains of
Baton Rouge, La. She will share the riveting
story of the loss of her daughter and son-in-
law that resulted in a multiplicity of emotions
and the tremendous need to forgive the
responsible parties. Tickets for the Prayer
Breakfast are $10.00 and they may be

Cedars Phoenician Club–will be hosting a
Halloween Costume Party on Saturday,

Catholic Church will hold its monthly activity
for Catholic Senior Adults of the Birmingham
area on Thursday, October 22. The day will
begin with Mass in the main church at 11:00
a.m., followed by a luncheon and bingo and
concluding at 2:00 p.m. A donation of $6.00

Monday, October 5, at 7:00
p.m. in the Parish Hall. You or
your relative may be thinking
about going. There is a light
meal every Monday at 6:30 p.m. and a
nursery is provided. RCIA is for people
wanting to learn about the faith, people who
want to become Catholic, and people who
want to come back to the Church.
