Consultix WRX-33 family constitutes single and multiband wireless receivers that
measure a CW (Continuous Wave) signals in most of wireless bands. It is magnificently
accurate, lightweight, and compact. The unit is operated with an ergonomic man-
machine-interface, modular in design, S/W upgradeable to save users investments and
enhance users logistics cycle.
WRX-33-4B models comes with internal result storage for up to 7 hours continuous
measurements.

To use the WRX-33 in a correct, efficient, safe way, and to avoid damage caused by
improper actions, you are recommended to:
1- Use only the original accessories to prevent any damage to the device.
2- To not affect the radiation pattern, don't touch the antenna during operation.
3- It is preferable to connect the antenna and test environment before starting a
measurement scenario.
4- Don't let water or other liquids flow into the device.
5- Prohibit approaching the device to flammable or explosive items.
6- Don't open the device outside company maintenance branches.
7- For the first time usage of the device, battery should be charged continuously 10
hours before usage.

(1) ON/OFF: Switching on & switching off the device by long press (1 second press)
(2) Num pad: Writes numbers, characters or space
(3) Escape: Goes to previous menu, cancels input data, or terminates a measurement scenario.
(4) Save: Saves the current measurement scenario with its Freq, Amp, Date, and time
(5) : Enters (-and .), edits the name of saved channels, or toggles button in the setting
menu
(6) Enter: Enters to sub menus, accepts choice, or enters settings data
(7) Up & Down arrows: Moves up and down or fine tuning of frequency (after clicking the hard
button Edit as per (5) above)
(8) Run: Starts measurement

-Connect the charger into its socket.
* Note: for the first time usage of the device, battery should be charged continuously
10 hours before usage.
-Connect the antenna to the device.
-Switch On the device by long press on the On/OFF switch.
The device now is ready to start measurement. In the following section, the menus of the WRX-
33 will be described in details before illustrating How to start a test.

Main Menu
Start Test :To start a test configuration as follows:
Date: Appears on the top left of the screen , shows the current date
of the measurement .
Time: Appears at the top right of the screen, shows the current time
of the measurement.
Freq: Sets the measurement frequency in MHz
Amp: Shows the received signal level in dBm

Autonomous: This menu contains the settings of the test result to be saved on the
receiver menu.

Setting: To change the unit settings as follows:
Back light: This function is used to enable or disable the LCD
backlight for the device.
To toggle between On/OFF options, use the edit (-/.) button
Date: This function is used to set the current date in the format DD-
MM-YY. To write new date press Enter or (-/.) button, then write
the date using the num pad.

Time: This function is used to set the current time in the format
HH-MM-SS. To write a new time, press Enter or (-/.) button, and
then write the date using the num pad.
Factory setting: This function is used to restore WRX-33 factory
settings. It will delete all saved test channels from your device
Battery Status: Provide the battery voltage and withdrawn current
from the battery
Version/Upgrade:
- Providing info about activated features, and available upgrades
- Entering key-codes required for any newly purchased upgrade
Memory Status: Shows the used and free memory space. Press 5 to clear the used
memory

3.3.1 Start a measurement scenario
-You may directly press the hard button RUN to make a hot start, or
- From the main menu, use up & down arrows to choose Autonomous, and then press Enter
button. In this mode, the device saves the measurements for the 4 channels in the device
memory.
- Using the Num Pad enter the desired measurement frequency in MHz for every channel, and
then press Enter button. At the bottom box, You will notice either the word Peak or average.
We take around 200 sample per each channel per second. This choice is to choose between
either to present the peak sample or average across the second. Toggle between peak or average
by pressing the dot ( . ) button

- The corresponding Power level will be displayed on the screen in dBm.
-Finally Name the test in the box below frequencies
-Press RUN, then it starts capturing
-At every marker ( change in direction or path), press save . Then you will see a marker
increment at the bottom of the screen
-Press Enter once finished
3.3.2 Save a measurement scenario
To save the measurement scenario which you got in section 3.3.1:
- From the keypad press Save button.
- A default name will appear on the screen. To change it press the hard button ./-then write
your desired name, and then press the Enter button.
3.3.3 View saved measurement scenarios
To view saved measurements kindly connect the device to Walk-View software through a mini
USB-B cable.
You can view the measurements and put them on a map.
