T he list has been selected f rom a number of Ahaadeeth which speak of the branches of f aith. Al-Shaatibi R.A. gave a list of commands and prohibitions which included every good characteristic that is enjoined in the Quran and Sunnah, and every bad characteristic which is f orbidden in the Quran and Sunnah, but the list does not include what is of a specif ic nature, such as Prayer and Z akaah, avoiding sins that are punishable by the Hudood punishments, nd specif ic things that are prohibited. T his list draws up a way of ref orming and purif ying souls, and it calls us to draw closer to Allah by means of Nawaf il acts of worship.
