Posted by alimedeen October 14th, 2013 List of Qualities that Lead to Completeness of Faith: T he Branches of Faith: 1- Belief in Allah: in His existence and Oneness, in the perf ection of His Essence and Attributes; belief that everything other than Him is created by Him. 2- Belief in the Messengers of Allah. 3- Belief in the Books of Allah. 4- Belief in the angels. 5- Belief in the Divine Decree. 6- Belief in the Last Day. 7- Love of Allah. 8- Fear of Allah. 9- Hope in Allah. 10- Trust in Allah 11-Loving the Prophet SAWS. 12-Venerating the Prophet SAWS and f ollowing his Sunnah. 13-Sincerity and not showing of f . 14-Repentance. 15-Gratitude f or the blessings of Allah. 16-Patience 17-Mercy, Compassion. 18-Haya (modesty,shyness). 19-Reading and venerating the Quran. 20-Seeking knowledge and teaching others. 21- Spreading knowledge and teaching others 22- Duaa (supplication) 23- Dhikr (remembering Allah) and praying f or f orgiveness. 24- Guarding ones tongue and avoiding idle speech. 25- Purif ying oneself physically and spiritually. 26- Of f ering obligatory and Nawaf il prayers. 27- Giving obligatory and Nawaf il Z akaah 28- Observing obligatory and Nawaf il Fasts. 29- Perf orming obligatory and Nawaf il Hajj. 30- Itikaaf . 31- Jihad f or the sake of Allah 32- Guarding the borders f or the sake of Allah. 33- Being caref ul of ones religious commitment. 34- Of f ering expiation. 35- Fulf illing vows. 36- Keeping promises. 37- Fulf illing trusts. 38- Prohibition of crimes against people. 39- Ref raining f rom Haraam sources of wealth. 40- Moderation in spending. 41- Protecting honor 42- Being happy when doing good and sad when doing bad

T he list has been selected f rom a number of Ahaadeeth which speak of the branches of f aith. Al-Shaatibi R.A. gave a list of commands and prohibitions which included every good characteristic that is enjoined in the Quran and Sunnah, and every bad characteristic which is f orbidden in the Quran and Sunnah, but the list does not include what is of a specif ic nature, such as Prayer and Z akaah, avoiding sins that are punishable by the Hudood punishments, nd specif ic things that are prohibited. T his list draws up a way of ref orming and purif ying souls, and it calls us to draw closer to Allah by means of Nawaf il acts of worship.
