Application for Certificate of Fitness for Occupation (CFO): Apply CFO vide Borang E to LA C&S and M&E Engr. to endorse on Borang E Client cannot occupy building without CFO LA will visit site for CFO inspection As-Built Drawings to be submitted to LA

Defects Liability Period (DLP):a period of time where by any defects (bounded by the contract) during this period (as agreed in the contract document) on the building shall be rectified by the contractor at his own cost. Duration of DLP - as per Appendix 1. DLP for Housing projects has been extended to 24 months after April 2007 Clients representative to provide list of defects & Contractor to rectify. Within 14 days of DLP Architect to issue Schedule of Defects to Contractor for rectification works

Final Certificate (FC)
QS statement of final account for the work which take into account: the variations to the work as ordered from time to time PC sums EOT LAD Etc It will be presented through the Architect to the Client as a statement agreed with the Contractor. The issuance of a Final Certificate assumes that everything is acceptable. Signed copies of the account to be issued to both the Client and Contractor.
